Ok just a few questions, I have a set of oem power folding mirrors from japan along with the 361 relay and the switch. So since I have the oem mirrors do I still have to use the 361 relay or is there another way of wiring them up? Also do you have a wiring diagram showing how to wire up the mirrors without the remote function just the power folding with the mirror switch? One more question, what gauge wire did you use and how did you connect the wires to the relays?

Sorry I have alot of questions haha

Hi , check out this link :

There are 2 ways . One with 361 relay but you can do your mirrors folding by remote only and the other is if you install the original window motors with folding function.Use google translate for the link.

Hey nick can you possible draw a complete wiring diagram with your mod + the normal 361 mod diagram. Also can you please elaborate on where pin 12 off the relay hooks too. Also any pictures from your install would be amazing like where you tied everything in.

Cheers mate

Hi Jonathan , i see that you have already the 361 diagram .If you have done this work , then check my diagram with 361 and 79 relays.
For my mod you need to run a cable to pin 12 from 361 relay.
Your diagram is the first step.If you do this , then my diagram is the second step.
I dont have any photos , have passed 4 years from the day i made the mod.
If you have any questions fell free to ask me.
Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick!
Buy the command disarmament mirrors and when I find that is different circuit configuration.
Disarm the command that is standard on the car and there are some changes in the resistance and lacks an LED compared to the picture of his command mirrors.
I believe that it will be able to modify the original that I have the car, changing the mechanical part to rotate the knob to fold. And making his mod.
For your mod must take off or unsolder the circuit board. To cut or weld the track and the bridge?.
I show him a picture of my commands.

The 28 pin connector is the window motor connector. If you connect the pin 12 to window motor connector , its not nessesary to connect it again to pin 3 from door lock plug. If you check diagram sais pin 28 from window motor OR pin3 from door lock plug. Its the same cable.
Cheers

First time i see this mirror switch. I see that all the pins are soldered on the board. So its difficult to resolder them and check the board both sides.

Where did you get this switch? Its original vw?

Hi Nick!
The command is not original mirrors. He bought new on ebay. Supposedly corresponded for Golf and Passat.
The other original command is my car.
Make a mod in the original command! A plaque will add an LED that does not remove the original plate. Also interchange caps with the cursor. Thus was the original functional command with folding indication illuminated.
All that remained other than your plate is a resistor as shown in plate 188 and my motherboard has one of 221. But I think that's only for lighting.
Now ready to install, along the mirrors. Today I'll try to make the connections.
Thanks for your interest!
Greetings. Hernan

You have to buy an original switch to do the mod. As you see this mirror is aftermarket and has different components

We modify my command and I have my mirror mass signal at the output pin 4!.
Do not use a relay 79 or relay 206. I see you are relay investors. Use one of these to buy in my country and logic are the same:

http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-452651586-relay-simple-inversor-multifuncion-marca-ralux-modelo-r-158-_JM

What I can not make it work is folding mirrors with the command gate being connected 28 pin cable. Works with the command if I disconnect the cable that comes from pin 28 of the engine window. With this cable connected to pin 12 of relay 361 only works with the key. And when operating the door command unresponsive folding.
Disconnect the cable and operate normally with the command ...
The relay 79 fulfills the function of switching the output signal of mass between 87 and 87a. I am using a relay similar to that shown. But I can not find the problem.
Momentarily swich install a 3-point and with this swich alternate bending one or the other method.
Can you think of how I can correct this error?
Thank you very much!
