After failing the MOT ive decided to cheer myself up a bit, so i bought this

Whilst on the bay, i also won a (very) cheap set of loweing springs and a Fabia rear wiper.Just wating for a day off so i can get them fitted.

Now ive just got to fit the new Lambda sensor and get a new windscreen. (the cold and snow caused a small chip to turn into a huge crack[whistle] the day before the test[] )

Then all thats left to do for now is get a new head unit and decide what wheels to get.

Hmmm decisions[]

good buy for the price i would say mate looks good. i wrapped the interior of mine and it does make a big difference alot better to look at.

It's the greatest sound in the world. I had an EJ9 with a B16b conversion, ITR cams and intake with full spoon exhaust. Kinda miss it but had to get a 'sensible' car

 

lol yeh i miss them, had a ej9 with b16a2 for first car then 2 ek4s then a ek9 and a ep3 before getting the golf gt tdi when lost me job and now the gti turbo.

May car my rules lol. I really have no idea on what wheels, but wheels will be the last thing I get for her.

 

Finally the rain has held off long enough for me to get a couple of bits done that were bugging me. First was the little triangles inbetween the windows on the rear door. They were quite rusty so I gave them a sand down and spray

Didnt have any newspaper so used an old copy of ppc

Not the greatest finish but I'm happy...... For now

And finally took the tow bar off. And in the process found out one of the studs on the light unit had broken off [] so the plastic is just a precaution incase it rains while the araldite drys

 

Long overdue an update, finally managed to give her some clean oil, although I'm gonna have to do it again soon as I couldn't get the filter housing undone! [brick]

Also replaced the plugs and leads, got an air filter coming and did this

Not 100% sure, might redo it body colour. Theres some difference in colour front to back and places where the colour is a bit thin but it's not like it's on permanent show[paperbag]

 

An almost 400 mile round trip, and thanks to Luke TDi for the swap. I now have a (two tone) Bolf [In-love]

I was actually suprised how easy the swap actually is. All I gotta do now is get it sprayed blue, some lows and wheels[:S]

 

On a mk4 Estate the Bora front looks great, not so sure on the hatchback. Conversely, the Golf front end on a Bora looks mint! Aside from the blut blut grills.

What's next?

 

Next up besides from paint is lots of lows and then try to decide on some wheels [help]

 

I'm really proud of my Heidi. After after oil, plugs, leads and air filter change we did around 850 miles this week on £110 of petrol, and ran soooooo smoothly. But got bored so played a game of leap frog with an MG ZR.

May i recommend doing the brakes way before any engine / performance mods for obvious reasons, also sell me your 312mm brake set up [H]

 

312mm???? I thought the 10v only had 288mm. [] time to get the tape measure out me thinks

 

These have 312mm as standard (i believe):

Mines the 150. According to ultimatespecs.com she has the tiny 288mm discs [cry]

 

So i decided i didnt like the chrome look on my wheels, so i decided to spray them completely black

And this evening gave Heidi her weekly bath as well as i could before getting bitten to death by gnats!
