re side lights, get some decent led jobbies, from ultraleds, the ebay ones tend not to last. get some with loads of leds modules. nice and bright.

 

I went for the Osram Night Breakers and I found they were a nice upgrade from the standard bulbs. I've never used the Philips ones so I don't know how they compare.

 

I had nightbreaker ones, they were ok, bit better but wouldnt buy again the price of them doesnt justify the slightly whiter performance.

I have the full Osram night breaker set on mine (dipped, main and side lights) I find that over the cheap bulbs that were in the lights to begin with they are much brighter and stretch much further. For the money I paid aswell I don't think I can complain. They are a nice crisp white too, however I wish I had of gone for LED or SMD side lights as the Osram's are yellow.

As for Phillips I've only ever used the xenon style ones which I wasn't impressed with.
