So time to move away from the mk4 thread and give MJ her own now things have finally got moving.

I can clearly see she isnt a mk4, but I like you guys better than the Audi forums lol

Upgraded from the mk4 GTI in November.

Been a busy girl girl this weekend and got my new honeycomb grille on

note that option extra Jay and camera on right.. also comes as Jay and bumper..

Wrapped the crash beam in satin black vinyl so it didnt show through the honeycomb.

Also had a tinker and made a removable plate holder, cut the bottom clips off and wrapped them in polterstirein so bottom clips now squeeze in the honeycomb, easy on and easy off

Really pleased with the result:

Looking good ;) it was very shiny at Inters. Have you cracked a way to get it onto the drive without grounding?

BTW Purple mirrors :D
Yes I have... turn the music up! :Y: ignorance is bliss..

To be fair since lifting the rears for the 10j's it barely scrapes now, that and the suspension air ducts have probably worn down by now!

stood about and looked pretty while jay did all the hard work!? :p :lol-lol:

Some more I got sneakily while you lot were giggling at my professional photography pose

Got a nice butt.
Pretty maybe.. but twas fair load.. like to have seen you wrap the crash bar! (properly lol)

You did do the heavy lifting though <3 :)

Definitely a 2 man job that bumper, was an ass to get back on, even Sean was confused.

I also remember someone doubting my ingenious engineering skills when I was making the removable plate... Manda wins ;) x

Absolutely love this :). Looks so mean with the honey comb :D
Love the honeycomb grill! Not enough Jay in the pictures though!
Thanks guys :D

Cant wait to get my roll of purple wrap, but I am still in love with the tropical pink wrap I already have..

thoughts on wrapping badge the same pink?

or midnight purple ? (splitter wil be the same as the badge)

Midnight purple:

Tropical pink:

purple wont be wasted though.. that interior wont purplefy it self!

Thats my best mate and I was with him the whole night n didnt see him lean on your car once in all the years iv known him iv only even seen him lean on his own car n only the standard ones trust me us painters dont lean on peoples cars we know much better sorry to hear your car got scratched but I can say without a doubt in my mind I wouldn't of been dan

Maybe he was having an off day? It looks like he's leaning on it in the picture and she actually saw him do it, my mate is a strong advocate against leaning on cars yet I've had to tell him twice to get off mine!

you could be right, i only saw from the same angle as the picture and wasn't too sure at the time but too scared to walk over, then saw a scratch next day :( might of been something else.

Jay is going to try work his magic and buff it out, going to need to paint fill though i think booo!

When I do you arches I will flat and polish it for you if it needs it but can guarantee he wasnt leaning on your car at that point I think thats when we were showing people round my car to sell it..but definitely wasn't leaning on Its quite likely someone may of caught it with a camara or somin again sorry you car got scratched

AH I didnt realise you are doing my arches! Jay didnt mention who it was, just how much :) HI!

bless you i appreciate the thought but I am sure you are right and it wasnt your mate and no need to repair it, just at the time i saw the picture and remember thinking 'is that man leaning on my car? oh well' then I saw a scratch next day, hope he doesnt think I am accusing him, was just the initial thought that popped in my head that probably would for most people.

*********************************************

In other news, a kind friend I hadnt seen for a while dropped me at my car and said it looked like a drug dealers car!?! thanks lol drug dealers with their pink splitters hay ;)

Either way I wasnt sure on the black rings before hand and thought it was a good time to swap..

only it took over an hour as it wasnt actually a case of popping off and swapping, had to break almost every clip :( (and nail)

And for anyone interested in my top knotch bodge job removable plate holder... tadah!

14804371573_4068ca9bcf_b.jpg

hacked off the middle and bottom clipps with a kitchen knife, and wrapped the bottom clip bases in a foam, so the top hooks on the honney combs, and the 2 foam bits squeeze in the honey comb holding it in ;) bodge job 101 ha!
