ah well im running a genuine n75 brand new as said and tbh my maf is a auto spares jobby not genuine so when i get to jabba sport ill see if they have a bosch one laying about

and im running quantem long life 5w-40 i think it is proper vw stuff

ÂŁ150 is about the going rate for them now, you might strike lucky with someone breaking a 1.8T though. The main thing to look for other than play in the shaft is cracking around the wastegate on the exhaust housing so ask for pictures of this before you buy.

Play along the shaft axis is bad.

Some side to side is expected but nothing bad.

Inducer blades tips should be unmarked and not have contacted housing.

All the pipes fit / are compatible.

If the existing connections are good it's not worth disturbing them.

Fit 'as is' with new washers where necessary.

I guess you haven't disturbed the dipstick holder?

Did you remove it during the turbo change?

If the holder isn't seated correctly the stick won't be held in the correct position...

Not a problem I would expect to be honest.

I would establish what's happening with the level before driving again.
