I'm swapping a K03 for a K03s tomorrow, but have a few questions to ask.

Firstly, can I get away with leaving the oil & coolant feed and return lines attached to the block ?

This swap will be in a Mk2 Golf, so there is quite a bit more room to work in compared to the MK4.

I've swapped many k03 and k03s turbos in the past, but the engine has always been out of the car.

If you could let me know that would be great. That way I can make sure we have fresh oil and coolant to replace if the lines have to be removed.

easier to remove turbo with coolant lines attached. Oil feed can be left, same with oil return
Thanks for the reply Chris.

I've just been round to my lock up to look at my own MK2 running a K03s, and your right, the coolant lines and the oil feed banjos are hidden by the exhaust manifold, which I don't want to remove really.

Was hoping I could get away with leaving the lines but its clearly not the case :-(
