Hi

I have a problem with my passenger rear door , when you try to unlock the door with the remote or the switch in car the rear lock just clicks twice but remains deadlocked ! this is quite woring as you cant get out of the car

The only way i can get into the car is to bang the door from the outside at the same time as pushing the remote and if you get the timing right the door will open.

i hve removed a rubber bung from inside the door slam panel and can see a little red lever which sometimes moves and sometime doesn't , have tried wd40 but hasn't made a difference

Has anyone got any info etc on how to fix the problem inc how to get the door card off , as we have a baby on the way and need to get sorted asap

Many Thanks

Don't have rear doors I'm afraid but ;-

The rear door card is quite simple to remove. Unclip the lower part of
the door handle by prising it off. Unscrew the 2 no #30 Torx screws
behind the handle. Unscrew the 1 no #20 Torx screw at the bottom of the
door. Use a trim tool to prise the door card off the
retaining clips. Once these are removed, lift the door card off. Unclip
the plugs.

The retaining clips are on the rear of the panel, they actually hold the panel on, they just come out when you pull the panel off, just make sure they are all on the back of the panel when you put it back and not stuck on the metalwork (move them over if any get stuck)

I'm probably way off but have you tried looking at the child lock for the door, perhaps its not fully enaged either on or off and so interfering with operation of door? Might be worth a look before you take door apart
