Hi All,

Been a member for a bit and finally bought a Golf :D I know its a 1.6
and not everyone likes them but its all i can afford and i cant wait
until i can afford a 1.8T.

Its a 1.6se on an 02 plate with 63k on the clock and FSH.

Thoughts please and some cheap mods that aren't going to screw my
insurance over :) And before everyone says it, im looking for new
wheels, if anyone has any for sale please let me know :)

Cheers guys

Both sets of wheels are beautifully finished. The stretch looks silly but that's just my opinion. What I don't get, is that you've got a really-well cared for car, with what looks like very nicely finished paint, yet you've zip-tied a numberplate that looks like it's practically been run-over to the front of the car.
.
Those AMG wheels though - they're something else. Stunning.
Cheers bud! I know the stretch is marmite and it doesn't actually look too bad in person but I know not everyone is a fan of it :)

Haha the reason its bent is to go around the bumper as when it was straight it was rubbing on the paint. I'm waiting for my new square plate to arrive to fit it up to the lower grill using some brackets :)

Time for a wheely good update! [emoji23] I had been aiming to get the wheels all tidied up again after many miles last year and wanted to to take them on myself however I couldn't do one of them due to an incident so I sent that off to be repaired properly and also get a new tyre fitted [emoji1303] that's been done now and today i spent my day polishing and sealing my wheels today and rebuilding and sealing bens wheels which used to belong to jay on here!

All important pics below!

Whoever made that choice must be a genius!
Haha well I'm not sure I would go that far! How's yours coming along?

the only other colour combo would be gold centres ..... that would make it pop but it would also make it look more common.... you've got the winning combo already ;)
Yeah gold is the other option other than fully polished but I'm not sure either of them are worth the cost over how much I already like mine

I'm thinking gold for my Speedlines.
Ooh that sounds nice!
