Hi guys

My golf has been going into limp mode (overboost, sticking vanes/actuator?) and just had it scanned. The exhaust light is on suggesting emission probs.

The faults...

16618 - Boost Pressure Regulation

P0234 - 000 - Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition) - Intermittent

Freeze Frame:

RPM: 2385/min

Torque: 180.0 Nm

Speed: 147 km/h

Load: 40.4%

Voltage: 14.67 V

Bin. Bits: 11000000

Absolute Pressure: 1734.0 mbar

Absolute Pressure: 2142.0 mbar

16785 - EGR System

P0401- 000 -Insufficient Flow

Freeze Frame:

RPM: 1806/min

Torque: 38.0 Nm

Speed: 45.0 km/h

Load: 13.3%

Duty Cycle: 14.7%

Bin. Bits: 11000000

Mass Air/rev: 325.0 mg/str

Mass Air/rev: 605.0 mg/str

Readiness: 12000

Thought I would check the vac pipes the actuator and the turbo vanes but can't even get the air hose off! Skinned the back of my hand and rain stopped play!

Do I need to get underneath the car to get the bleedin hose off? Or use remote hose clip pliers, if I could see where they go!

Does anyone have diagrams/schematics showing the turbo /air hose? I have no idea where they are routed/connected.

Any help much appreciated.

Overboost sorted by removing and cleaning stuck turbo vanes, but not from carbon build up from bent and battered vanes. The EGR delete and cooler delete now done too.

Have to get the dash light mapped out!

Driving as it should now! :Y:
