Following on shamelessly from Andymacs post on your best album, your best films of all time? Could proove useful. I love those films that REALLY involve you and can often be found with a tear running down my cheek at the end of the film should it have got me in that involved state.

Also, I have a couple some of you have probably never heard of so here I go in no particular order:

1. Shawshank obviously - Just a brilliant emotive film.

2. The Usual Suspects - Absolute quality ending, dunno how many times I have watched it now trying pick up on things!

3. The Pianist - Another very emotive film, if this doesnt grab you by the knackers and get you involved I don't know what will.

4. Schindlers list - What can you say? 2 DVD's, having to swap over half way through its that long. Absolutely stunning film, but not only that, educating you on what did actually happen in those horrible times. Few tears that one produced.

5. Requiem for a dream - Thinking about doing drugs? Watch this film! - Stunning and very hard hitting, depressing film.

6. The Butterfly Effect - Just loved that film

7. Castaway - For some reason I just really liked this.

1 Both Bad Boys films, (Ch5 had BB1 on telly the other night, at 10pm I think, and they cut all the nice language out of the opening car jacking scene, ruined it!)

2 If you want a quiet film, The Green Mile is a cracker.

3. My lady would say all the Harry Potter films to date, although I prefer the lastest 'Prisoner from Azkabahn'

Powerhorse, I've only seen 2 of them films! One being Bambi!

As for films like Harry Potter, yer they are entertaining, but I find for me personally, the film has to really draw you in so nothing around you matters, focus completely on the screen and all my films did that for me. Harry Potter you could have a chat to someone at the same time. Different films for different people I spose.

I swear this has been as done to death as the Channel 4/5 top 10/100 polls that always seem to be on! But seeming its my favourite subject, here goes.

1. The Shawshank Redemption - because of the message. Hope is always a good thing.
2. Goodfellas - I love this movie and Ray Liottas finest hours on screen.
3. Pulp Fiction - What can I say? Royale with Cheese!
4. Memento - Your worst enemy is yourself. Guy Ritchie, this is how it's supposed to be done!
5. Fight Club - Again Guy Ritchie, this is how its supposed to be done.
6. Donnie Darko - Love this film for its surrealism.
7. Aliens - My fave Sci Fi film, only to be spoilt by 3 and 4.
8. Robocop - dead camp but always watchable.
9. Toy Story - Best kids film ever.
10. Trainspotting - Begbie rules!

Most of these 90's but its the decade where I grew up watching and loving films.

Couldn't agree more. He hasn't done much since he went to Hollywood and the same can be said about Jet Li. Seems we have a HK film fan here [:p] You liked Infernal Affairs?

Just so I can double post [:p], here is my list of top 10 foreign films

1) City of God - Goodfellas with kids - harrowing.
2) Hardboiled - John Woo and Chow Yun Fat at their best before Hollywood got to their heads.
3) OldBoy - Sick, twisted tale of revenge.
4) Seven Sumarai - The benchmark film so often remade.
5) The Vanishing - The original dutch version which is one of the darkest films I've ever seen. DONT watch crappy Hollywood remake (cant believe the original director did this pile of poo of a remake).
6) Das Boot - Need I say more?
7) Chunking Express - quirky film about love from Wong Kar Wai before he got REALLY weird on us.
8) Amores Perros - Don't watch if you are a dog lover.
9) The Seventh Seal - Death plays Chess.
10) Can't decide! Too many others.
