Is anyone insured under their parents names who have full no-claims, around 19 years old and driving a golf?

if so what insurance company do you find best, the best i have found so far is from AA and is for £1150 for a GT TDi (115)!!

Is this a good deal or not?

well considering im 23 with 3 years no claims im paying £707 for my GTI. So id be quite happy with £1k at 19. you might get a little cheaper at Elephant but you wont get as good a service if you ever have to make a claim

I was on my dad's insurance until April, full (protected may I add, 1 claim last year) no claims. £430 for 3 named drivers including myself (18).

Obviously it'd probably be more for the GT TDI 115 I would've thought.

Now I'm on my own policy which is £1370 a year []

Both of these policies are with the CIS and have been the cheapest that I have been able to get for me.

NO Way, im insured with them, im 23, (Started at 22) 11 point in last 5 years, never had my own policy and my 19 year old girlfriend is on policy aswell.

you can't add named drivers under the age of 25!!

i have, have you done the quote online? do you have points?

im putting my mom as main driver - clean licence 6 ncb

and me as second driver - 19 - 3 points for speeding

and it refuses to add named drivers under the age of 25

and yes, that was online.

Yea, just done it aswell, thats bizare, try it with a gt tdi 110 out of curiosity cus thats what i have and named driver of 19.

im 19 under my mums insurance.. however its only a 1.4 s my mum has 2 yrs no claims and i ahve 4 points its just under 1k with tesco and egg.. try them online you get 5% discount..

Try the policy in your name but put your parents as named drivers on the policy it reduced it for me on elephant and admiral.

I can't do that because then i can't use my moms 6 no-claims!!
