Why do you want to do this mod? Can you get hold of these parts cheap and second hand?

Its a pretty lengthy change to make and will not yield as good a gain as an IHI etc. You will need, injectors, turbo, manifold, downpipe and i would recommend an IC upgrade too. The biggest problem you will face is getting the thing mapped..... not many people have done this mod so it will be a total one of custom job and wont be easy or cheap. I would imagine 270-280 max...

IMHO IHI is beeter and probably cheaper and eaiser.

Well i have heard it will bolt straight on all i need to change is the gaskets etc. (thats what i have been told anyway)

The IHI is awesome dont get me wrong! but i dont fancy changing the clutch/gear box any time soon!

Also with the IHI i would imagine u would need to change LOADS od stuff, all what u have mention for the k04 plus more! [B)]

210/225 ko4 is not a direct bolt on ,the only one that bolts on to a ko3 manifold is a k04-01 ,you would still need injectors, maf,tip and a custom map to run it.A ko3s would be a better option ,unless you have one already ,they do work if set up properly ie with full exhaust ,cat, air filter ,fmic and custom map. With a ko3s set up properly you should get 230-240 bhp and 240+lbft ,more or less engine type dependant.Note mine does not have custom map or fmic yet, still running stock revo map (ko3)[:D]Andy

Stefen if he uses the ko4-23 varaint from a TT he will need to change the injectors and a LOT more, its far from a bolt on job.

Iram i think someone has miss informed you, as Andy says only the ko4-01 bolts on to the stock manifold.

I had a K04-001 on my AGU 1.8T along with full turbo back miltek, Samco TIP and a CAI. On a RR that is known to be accurate I got 220bhp and 259ftlb.

IMHO it's only worth doing this on a car that has the K03, e.g AGU or ARZ engine. Even then I wouldn't recommend it unless it works out cheap.

Eddy thats less than my ko3s?225bhp 270 lbft,i though that you would get at least 240 from that.I might try a ko4 hybrid that A&M are working on,just waiting for results when mike gets the first one fitted.Cheers Andy

... some are more generous than others *cough* jabba...

Now, there's plenty of other people who's dyno's are a bit out, who's to say who's is actually accurate. Jabba's dyno's pretty good if you take the un-corrected result, besides they've now got a new dyno.

[:I] sorry i did mean to put a "[;)]" in..... but i was pokin fun, cos some recent figures from AGU ko3s cars seem high thats all i mean.

Not interested in starting a fight, just replying to Eddys post as i know he purposely mentioned the "accurate RR" in relation to his previous ko4 jabba mapped car... and what it achieved on other rollers.

all tongue in cheek, sorry [;)]

The figures I posted are the ones I believe, I won't post the figures from any other RR's as I don't want to get into that, I will say though they aren't the lowest I got. Also on the road my Golf was slightly slower than GaryM's at the time I had one extra passenger and Gary was running an estimated 225-230bhp.
