It seems that someone comes onto this forum requesting feed back on a certain brand of detailing products, and the thread gets locked?..Why is this?????

I travel across the pond often to work with professional detailing companies, and some of these guys use certain mothers products with outstanding results. Now I thought detailing you?re ride was about making it look the best you can,using safe products, so how come everyone want to shoot certain people down for trying to get feed back on products??????????????????

Totally baffled????.

We're sick of how they go about spamming the forum and trying to plug their products. Noone else does it in this way and for that reason we've asked that no Mother's representatives come here any more.

Surley swissol gets pluged enough, along with megs.....I cant find any info on mothers in this forum to mothers being pluged...

do a search but tick the archived posts box then read from the bottom up all the posts by user n/a (this is account deleted) It is always a mothers rep posting here and they proport to be a user when in fact they are trying to hawk there products without contributing to the forum as per other traders have to.

...and of course if representatives of Mothers came back using new usernames, their accounts would have to be banned as well. Im sure they would never do that though....would they?

just been browsing the archive's ,and there are a few post's with n/a, but in my opinion, no-one has tryed to sell there products at all, from what i have read its just free advise on offer....

I beleive in freedom of speech, and if someone wants to offer unparrelled advise on certain procedures / products then thy are welcome to......

For instance. A certain member sells a lot of swissol on hear, but his threads do not get looked or banned.....Is this one rule for 1 and 1 rule for another?????

Im not trying to start nothing here, but it seems unfair.

IMOA this guy does know what he is on about when it comes to detailing procedures, with out using all his own branded products(which he admits to in one thread).Now most rep's will push there product and nothing else, but this guy seems to want to offer non- biast advice, so come on give him a chance........

You obviously havent read them all, in some he pretends to be just a customer and later owns up to being related to mothers, and also when challenged he denied all knowledge till someone proved he was who he said he wasnt, then threatened uk-mkivs with legal action after he misrepresented himself. My advice read it all!!!!!! Othere people traders and manufacturers pay to be on here, if mothers want to be on here let them go through the preoper channels.

When we gave one of the representatives and chance and asked what he recommended for rejuvenating a tired looking leather steering wheel his response was to wash my hands before driving! IMHO that is not a response from someone who knows detailing procedures.

Also many of the posts on detailing procedures were just cut and pasted from detailing sites on the internet.

First of all, John Wintle is around here a lot longer than you AND any Mothers crowd. IIRC Squky you got off to a similar start as these Mothers guys, probably because a lot of us thought you were another one of them!!

Secondly, he doesn't post STUPID topics asking for feedback on ANY product NEVERMIND a product that nobody has bloody-well heard of [!]

Thirdly he doesn't spam the forum with "we're all feeling the love, give us a chance" type topics.

Fourthly, he takes part in the forum, not just the detailing section, has a Dub of his own and has organised meets along those lines - I don't think anyone linked to Mothers has done any of the positive things above apart from bang on about how great their products are, how No.1 in the US they are yada yada yada bloody yada.

IF PEOPLE WANTED TO BUY YOUR MOTHERS PRODUCT, THEY WOULD. HAVE THEY FROM HERE? NO! DOES THAT TELL YOU ANYTHING? OBVIOUSLY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was locked due to the company in question being removed from this site on more than one occasion. We respectfully asked the company not to post on here anymore and they flaunted that by joining up yet again and spamming the detailing forums with posts.

We're not here to run a elitist forum, far from it, we welcome companies onto the site as long as they play by the rules set down by us. The company in question hasn't, on more than one occasion and for that we requested they do not post here anymore.

And now were back to square one with them trying to post again. I'm not against Mothers, and neither are the rest of the team. Just the tactics employed by this company leave little to be desired.

We've asked they remove themselves from the site again, looks like history will have to repeat itself.

As everyone seems to want to say something on this subject so will I.

I have emailed you loads of times to ask for advertising rates, never got a reply, I have invited you all to our detailing shop never got a reply.

John Wintle has done all of this as Irish has said, I have offered the same and you dont reply.

So do you blame us for being a pain in the X*x*x

You asked for trouble, I am more than prepared to do all that i say.

But you dont seem to want the best for your forum members who support you, why not, why do forum members have to just be given views on only a few products.

I have offered you a discount on the products in question never got a reply.

Why cant forum members get views of other detailers around the world, just like have been talking about Megs trying to help a fellow member.

Any way thats my views, will we now get a reply to the dozens of requests to give you money Tabs for adverts and free detailing support and advice.

Mate, in the past, someone would ask how a certain mothers product is, someone would reply and say its good, but for my needs xxxx is better, then person asking the question would go on the defensive and claim mothers was the best stuff around!!

Personally, i have no problems with the products, its the salesmen etc spamming forums the way they are!

This time round forums have not been getting any spamming as you put it.

The only person giving them adverts its Tabs by posting the web site address in one of the threads, you are bound to go and look at it,

As a forum moderator we ask you can you find out how much adverts cost as we want to place adverts and give you money.

We are here to offer sound advice as I have done on the Megs range I dont have a problem with that I will offer sound open advice on most ranges as we have tried them all, some have good points some have bad points.

After we got told off the first time by Tabs, we tried to do things correctly by contacting Tabs about advertising prices, but he never replied.

We have made some very good offers from discounts to visiting us and showing you guys some tips on vehicle detailing, but Tabs is not interested as he never replied.

We want to give you money for adverts, but Tabs will not reply.

Mind you he did today and told us go away he never wants to do business with us again, thats a shame as we all need money no matter how much we have.

We are prepared to give it to you, in return for adverts.

We have sent Tabs e-mails, PM and much more but he never got back to us.

Can you now understand why we are P**xx Off, wouldnt you be!!!!

The strange thing is the only person spamming the web site forum is Tabs by placing our web site on it. We have been told to keep it clean and that is what we are doing and respecting your forum rules.

As far as I am aware UK MKIVs has never had the problems we have had with Mothers and its associates with a single other advertise, manufactuer or retailer. Do you really feel any kind of positive relationship with this forum or a single one of its members can be salvaged at this stage?

If by some miracle you do, Im sure the admin team can arrange some sort of advertising agreement for Mothers...at around the rate of ?25,000 per annum.
