I followed that up to GTI International in my Bora V6, two birds were driving it...badly needs wheels
Really? I've asked how much they want for it as I have been looking for a decent V5 bora for a while. Still looking for cars, just looking to find the right one. Don't like the exhaust but the rest of it is ok! I've already got the wheels, so things like that are sorted. Probably want more than it;s worth though.

It looked pretty clean, though the excessive badging and chav plates need burning. A good base as its a proper
Oettinger kit; a set of decent 18"s and some decent numberplates would
transform it. Suprisingly low miles but its a six year old 2.3 150BHP so should be pretty good value

Whether the kit adds to or subtracts from its value i'd say between 4900 - 5900 depending.

Autotrader says my W plate V5 with 43k and goodies like colour coded VW
sports seats, climate and BBS' is still up around ?6000. Again, if me
adding coilovers and colour coding bits and bobs adds to it then maybe
its still worth the 6500 i paid last year!

Got a reply from them!He/she has said they are looking for ?6500.

They said the kit cost ?2000 to put on and import etc, would this be true? Also, they are saying they have been offered ?1600 for the plate on it [^o)]

Glasses guide says trade in price for the standard V5 1999 is ?4095 for very good condition. I've asked them a couple more questions and I might make an offer as they have said I'm quite welcome to go have a look etc. I won't however be offering anywhere near ?6500 and they won't hit the reserve if it's at that!

I'd probably go to ?5200 and they could keep the plate which is apparently worth ?1600!! Reckon i would be being silly? Would normally offer less due to glasses guide prices, but with the kit too...maybe I should realisticly be looking at more?

I reckon its about right. The glasses guide sounds too cheap - i hope [:D]

Depending on overall body condition and what extras its got then yeah.
Check paintwork for damage etc. Wheels for uneven tyre wear and check
the fans work!!

Other things that would affect the price for me would be if the owners
or previous owners were smokers so affecting the interior. Interior
damage such as rips or broken trim. Check the nooks and crannies to -
it gives an indication as to how well it was looked after.

They are asking way too much i think.

I'd say start at 5 and go up to 5200 like you say, maybe 5500 if it is
a great example with a good paintjob on the kit and FSH at regular
intervals.

Good luck mate [:)]

Have made an offer on it! Provisional one though as I haven't seen it!

Have to wait and see now! Scary stuff!! [:|]

It's also got, which I didnt realise. Full R32 interior trim (seen the pics) heated seats and climate.

Nice car althoug hhe/she couldve got a better response with larger&clearer pictures of the car.

Its at about the same stage as mine although luckily I dont have the
excessive badging (infact Im thinking of taking a couple off from the
back) and the chav plates (although mine yields fines lol). Yup needs
nice wheels badly as does mine.

Price seems ok - mileage is great and the owner does seem to have taken care of it.

It's not worth ?6500 in my mind. Not when you consider glasses guide says dealers would put it on the forecourt for ?5695!

Not a chance, won't go lower than ?6500!! [:^)]
A 6 year old 2.3 is definetly not woth that. You could get a 48k mile X
reg 2.8 for that, check out Autotrader. Some idiot might pay it
but the bodywork adds nothing to its resale value - which was more like
?750, not ?2k!

My offer was ?5700, which I thought was pretty fair. They said they would be willing to drop a very small bit, maybe to ?6400!

They have told me how much they have spent on it, but as we all know, that doesnt matter, and they are trying to re-coup every bit of it. Good luck to them, nice people and all that, but just asking to much. I wonder if they will come back to me!!
