I'm trying to decide on my next mod and i think it'll either be better brakes or a LSD. The car suffers from a lot of wheelspin which is annoying and i guess it'd be better to get that to a minimum as i want a bigger turbo next year?

Im particularly interested in the peloquin one for the 5 speed box as it gets good reviews, does anyone have one? If so whats your opinion?

Also where did you get yours and at what cost?

I also have the Peloquin 02J version. Prepare to learn to drive all over again!

Difficult to explain in a few words but it forces you to change the way you drive your car. Wheel spin IS NOT a thing of the past, its just different. It can actually be worse because in the wet, once you lose traction (in a straight line) you lose traction on BOTH wheels because they are both spinning, a bit like stopping a car without ABS but in reverse...

However, round the twisties its a different story, having power available to both driving wheels enables you to pretty much drag the front end around a bend. However, the point and squirt method just aint gonna work either, you actually have to start thinking about how you are driving and how you try and deliver the power.

Once you have that balance of feeding the power in and learning what the diff is doing it really starts to come into its own. At first I thought "whats all the fuss about - feels worse if anything" but now having learnt to drive all over again, its proper [:D]

I agree totaly with stewarts comments. Once you learn to use it it's fantastic. I'm stunned how easy it is to use >300hp through the front wheels. Even in the wet.

The best mod I've done to my car. Without it, even 200hp is a waste in the wet.

Just to ADD if your importing yourself the import Duty is 3% not 11 or 15% as UPS will try to charge - customs will give you a code which is different to the code that UPS use based on the disciption of "gearbox part"

I have read alot of people on vortex saying its the next best to get after your car being chipped, seems they are right!

Liam, where did you get your peloquin from? There was a massive group buy on vortex which unfortunately i've missed out on [:(]

So does everyone think its a worthwhile mod to on a 'breathed on' (the usual mods, around 220bhp)

turbo? I guess it'd be stupid not to if i want a bigger turbo later?

just be prepared to hold onto the wheel tighter when you have it fitted.

Been running ATB diffs in my cars for 6+years now and would'nt want to be without one..

I would'nt buy Quaife again however. Peloquin any day.

I had mine fitted by stealth while they were putting in a helix clutch and single mass flywheel. Labour for the whole job including the clutch was about ?350 from memory.

Yes mate i was in aberdeen today(getting 2 new tyres)! I am usually there most weekends as my girlfriend lives there.

I know the exact scoob your on about mate, i personally wouldn't touch it. A guy from my works friend had it, it chewed maf's and clutches. Not to mention having to run it on optimax and octane booster. If you want anymore info on it i can easily find out!

Sounds like any scoob. I would be if its chewing MAF's that it has an oiled air induction (K&N or something similar). The later Scoobs, mine included (mine being a UK MY99 Turbo) were known for going through them and if not checked the engine would pop too.

I am guessing the guy drove it like a looney tune too if he kept chewing up clutches or was a regular at Crail?!!

I know a guy that just sold an identical car and it had a new gearbox and he thinks it wasnt a proper STi box. He fryed a clutch too.....
