I would spend a bit more and get the GTI 150, which truly feels like a petrol and handles better too with its uprated springs & dampers and lower profile tyres. 185 bhp is a bit optimistic for a remapped 130.

It will also be closer to the R in performance[][]

I had a 110, I've now got a 150.

Remap it mate, tuning boxes are a waste of time, I had one before I got it remapped. No contest.

A mate of mine has a 100pd wagen and I was stunned the first time I drove it. The punch was awesome. However unlike the more powerful models it does run out of puff too quickly. A remap will sort that.
