I would like to fit -30mm Eibach springs and Koni Sports shocks to my car. Can anyone recommend places to buy these and get them fitted? I live in Surrey, so anywhere within a 100 miles would be best.

I've got an initial quote from AMD Technik: 611 GBP inc. VAT to supply, plus an additional 282 GBP inc. VAT for fitting (includes laser alignment). I'm guessing I can do better.

Any help would be much appreciated.

FLippin eck - AMD want how much for the the parts?

If you look through the VW mags, I'm sure you'll find the eibachs and koni sport dampers way cheaper than that (circa ?400 inc. vat). At least I hope so, as I'm about to do this myself to my Match Tdi, but haven't picked up a mag in a while.

Not sure about the fitting prices though - and I think laser alignment is probably a definite after removing the struts.

just this minute finished fitting Eibach springs and Koni dampers to my 1.8T,car is so much better and took me around three hours to fit. If you can use a spanner try it yourself and save the money. P.S got mine from Larkspeed for ?372 delivered in two days, and the Eibachs were from europerformance. Definately recommend this combo.

Find your suspension somewhere cheaper or even get yourself a set of FK coilovers from the current group buy for ?390 Delivered(you wont be disappointed).

I know a place in Sutton that can sort out he fitting for you.

Not yet. I had a week off work when I was going to get everything done, but I discovered another problem with my car that I had to fix first[].

I'm also waiting on vwspeed to get back to me about some Koni shocks. They don't stock them at the moment, but are trying to get them. They seem to look after forum members price-wise, so I wanted to wait and see what they will quote.

I just got a quote from Auto Techniks for ?160 for fitting, which seems fair enough to me. The bloke recommended uprating ARBs at the same time.

Just need to decide what suspension to buy now! Probably going to go for Bilstein OE replacements and Eibach springs.

I have used them for about 10 years on my last 2 cars and have never had any problems with them.

Mark knows his stuff.

Update: Had Bilstein B4s and Eibach -30mm springs fitted on Monday by Mark @ Auto Techniks - came in at ?200 (5 hours labour) including wheel realignment. They checked the suspension bushes while they were at it and found they were fine, which is nice for peace of mind. Would definitely recommend them in the future and will be using them again. holy crap. i had my fk highsports fitted to my V5 bora for ?50 at my local tyre place. they also fitted my blueflame exhaust for ?20 about a month before and did a stunning job each time. the guy who does all my work is a scooby enthusiast so knows his stuff about modifying.

took it to ATS after for laser alignment and nothing needed changing.

get any probs you can take the car back and they are only round the
corner from you too.
