Just a few months ago when i was out looking at cars with my mate who was looking for a new toy at the time

most VW garages we went into had a Golf Anni 1.8t and tdi of some kid in stock .Now it has come for me to get a new cars as the missus's dad wants to buy my bora off me and i have my heart set on a Golf Anni tdi but spend all yesterday going roumd as many garages as we could but no one had any where are they all going??

For anyone who can help in the search heres my preferance

Golf Anniversary tdi

First choice red Second choice silver ... dont want another black car

around 40,000mls max less than this would be even better

and ill pay upto ?15k at the most if anybody can source some out i'd be grateful

Cheers [:)]

Theres a couple on Autotrader at the moment, at least two in red PD's.

Both below the 14k mark.

Tbh if your going to pay up to 15k for an Anni TDI you need your head checking - they're going for well cheaper than that, especially with the mileage your looking to buy as well.

Apologies mate just re-read my post and it seemed a little blunt! I can see what you mean but believe me you will find a low mileage Anni for less than 13k no problem. Those who are asking over that will never shift the car for the money.

I'm on the hunt this month for a Red 1.8T Anni so if I see any derv's knocking about I'll let you know [:)]

Thats good news, the PD anni sounds like its mint as well. I know thats been on 'Trader for a while now, so odds are they'll be looking to shift it for less.

Yup had my eye on that 1.8T for a few weeks now. Might go take a look this weekend as its not too far from me.

I think the Anniversary MKIV is the best looking Golf to date(better even than new GTI); I would have bought one but don't like 3 door cars. Interesting how people's favoured colour varies; red appears to be the most rare? A (very helpful)VW salesman told me last year that they had trouble shifting red GTIs; seems strange when you consider how popular red used to be.

They do seem rare, but if you think that all were sold it seems strange that theres a higher percentage of black / silver Anni's for sale on 'Trader. Maybe the red Anni makes for a better long term car [:p]

I'm on the hunt for a red petrol - if you see one under 13k - holla!
