When after an hour of being there only to be imformed by Adam that

I have a V6 2motion!!

The Haldex has died.... rip...

Thank god I renewed the Extended Warranty [!]

Cost of Haldex ?2500 + fitting (No VGA time Specified!)[:O][:O]

How did that happen???

Not sure on the way down had a little fun around the A43 circuit,

Nothing heavy really, too busy with morning traffic.[^]

ESP kicked in a few times but nothing went bang or seemed to stop working, weird.

Had new HALDEX ECU on it before xmas also.

It could be the ECU as that has the pump for the clutch built in. The ECU unit's are the weak link and it tends to be these that break rather than the complete haldex unit.
Thats true but as I said ealier up the thread VAG replaced that in Nov last year, under warranty.

I guess unless it failed again, probally.. [:O]

My car has just covered 27k

It's the most common part to fail and has been revised several times.

Can you tell it's not working on the road? e.g. what happens when flooring it from a standing start?

To be honest no, It drove well.

It was only the fact I drove down to AMD and those guys let me know there was a problem.

Maybe cos I never give it sum.. [:p]

Does anybody drive all the time without ESP on??

I noticed AMD do with there R32 I had a thrash in...

i broke mine by doing dounuts, wound it all up. got a new one under warrenty
Think that is how mine developed a Diff. Whine ... combination of hard
accelleration in the wet with ESP off and fun in the snow
yep sounds like it, as i slowed down after a fast run it had the diff
whine coming from the rear of the car, had oil leaking out of the ecu
in the haldex. car was in warrenty by about a week! audi were really
good about it and even gave it a free haldex service
