Alright everyone

I came across this Golf when i was looking through a number of dutch
forums. Unfortunately ive been having to use babblefish to translate
dutch into english through 45+ pages of a V5 project. Can someone tell
me alittle more information about this Golf concerning what bodykit and
door handles has been chosen etc..

Ive seen these BBS wheels before but ive never been quite sure what
model or how much they would actually go for. Does anyone have a clue?

Any help would be excellent

think its just had the front rubstrips and side strips removed and smoothed. the lower front valence is standard but has been colour coded, looks like small mirrors and standard door handles but i could be wrong on those

It looks damn good ive got to admit. I take it you have seen this Golf
before Pat? Those MAM wheels are real hot but its a hard one to decide
over those or the BBS.

Have the arches been pulled? It sure looks like it from the pics ive seen.

Unfortunately ive been unable to find a spec of the car but if your

feel free and let me know alittle more about this Golf. I think its
real nice.

Yes as far as i know that Golf is sitting on air suspension. Why is
when your looking at BBS wheels no matter what model your always
looking at over ?1000+[8o|]

Looks to my like:

Smoothed standard front and rear bumper

Colour code valances

Side bump strips removed

Colour coded door pulls

Debadged and colour coded grill

Euro 'stubby' mirrors

BBS split rims = bloody fortune!

hope this helps, and other members feel free to correct me, if im wrong.

well they are the standard bumpers and handles just with the valances smoothed n painted, de-badged grill, numberplate recess removed and the small stubby 'euro' mirrors which u can get off ebay. also the rub strips have been removed. A good bodyshop can do all that for u, just need the debadge grill, think FK make one.

as for wheels they look like big BBS RMs try looking at justmatz.co.uk as these sell the smaller version of this wheel so might b able to source the larger.

Do you know roughly how much you would be looking at spending to get
that done at a decent bodyshop. I noticed in other pictures that the
hatch has been blended which would cost you quite a bit.

Well u can buy them ask J111ase he has one, then its just a case of getting it smoothed in. MikeTDI has done something very similar as well try PMing those two to ask about cost etc, they look fantastic when they r done. Prob looking at a couple of ?k to get it all done though.

i think you're looking at a couple of hundred per bumper to smooth and paint

not surew about the doors though as its a lot of work to fill the holes and repaint the entire door just to remvoe the rub strips

i'm gonna be attempting a bit of home plastic welding soon to smooth my bumper, i'll be posting a thread when i have some results

Did you manage to find out any more specs that have not been listed above by any chance mate?

I appreciate everyones feedback. Im going to make the effort to save
the cash together and go for something very similar to this by the
looks of things. It doesnt seem that hard to pull off for such a nice
look.

Would a drop like that without airbags be asking for trouble? Im
considering getting the arches pulled along with KW V1s and get a
decent drop. Im just wondering whether or not a skid plate might be
neccessary!

well with the pic in the inside car park its too low to turn the wheels so you'd need air bags of hydraulics, you can get a fairly los ride on coilover however
