Heres an interesting one, whats the best average mpg you've had, on film..I've had 67mpg average before but this is the best on film.

Just check out that fuel guage too, hardly moved after 167 miles.

I did Glasgow & back on a tank, 590 miles & still hadn't hit red by the time I got home..

Managed 64.8 in a 90bhp SE TDI back in 98, that was the ave for a long weekend to Belgium

only mananged 60 in the 130tdi but that was done at a faster ave speed.

do you vent tank? I've currently done 91 miles on my tank and its showing below 1st mark after full and I've averaged 58.3 according to comp - best I've averaged on a tank is around 56mpg but that's thanks to the crappy M42 traffic - haven't been on a long run yet

Best I've had on the display is 52mpg, the average since purchase has been 44.8mpg (not from MFD)

You must've been driving like my granny to get that!

That was taken on my run to brum this morning from A42 J13 down to J8 M42/M6.

Speed was going with the flow @ about 60mph

Yea tank vented,wouldnt have it any other way.

Photos like that make us V6/R32/chipped 1.8T owners cry! With 167 miles under my V6's belt, that fuel needle would be hovering around the 1/2 full mark!

34mpg....on a fairly long run - 150 miles mixture of roads and speeds. Only getting about 27 at the mo - either I've become sloppy or the fact that the car's 300 miles off its service is having a negetive effect on consumption...

430 out of a tank is the best I've ever got out of 1.6, and that was driving like a complete girl. I normally get 31ish and that's not driving hard. Lowest was about 270 from a tank. [:O] It makes me cry, I've got crappy 8v performance and a V6 fuel bill. [V] Roll on the day I can afford to join the dark side [8D]

320 out of my tank which worked out about 30mpg if i worked it out right. That was a one off, normally more like 270-280!

Managed 68.2 over 100 miles at around 60-65 mph in my Polo PD100.

Tend to average about 54 overall or 49 when stuck in traffic getting to work. It does pi55 me off though when I check the trip computer (not that its an obsession or anything ..) and it shows less then 50...

i have never got over 50mpg! i mean i dont reset it on the m-ways and as such the town driving drops it high 40s.
