Right im after some advise, the Golf has had its day, nice car shame about the reliability and dealers!! What do i Buy thats the question. In the past i have had a bmw 330 coupe sport and civic type R. I would have either of them again, but my other options are Focus RS and the R32, what do you reckon, what else is out there sporty and that someone of 6'6 can fit it [:D]??

20k will get you a nice 330 Sport - but worth while investigating the runnig costs beforehand, as it will be a bit more than running a Golf!

For another 6-7k you could go for an E46 M3 - deep pockets required, but fantastic car.

I did have a 330 and sold it due to a constant 26 mpg, but new job brings new money lol

That seems pretty good to me - I seem to average around 24 mpg in mine, but I suppose that's what commuting into the centre of Leeds everyday does for you.

Then again, you don't spend that amount of money on a car to start worrying about a couple of mpg improvement.

Good that @ 26 MPG

Round town my T5 will do about 19-20 MPG and on the M'way with cruise active @ 80 I get about 32-35 MPG

Does the RX8 really drain fuel then?

Apparently...I haven't worked mine out though. It does about 250miles on a tank. Can't rememember how big the tank is but its about £45.

thats roughly 20 mpg oh dear and about 56 litres based on the fact you would use super unleaded at 80 pence per litre.

P.S. I am bored is it noticeable[:D]

Thats not too bad then[^] as most are getting between 17-18mpg on the RX8 owners forum. Wether it will get better once they have a few miles on I don't know, but it is supposed to average 25mpg.

You can't really see the needle going down, but before you know it you are on empty again.
