Can anyone tell me what size bulbs I need to replace my interior bulbs with LEDs from http://www.ultraleds.co.uk?

I can see there are two smaller round looking ones then a long one in the middle. I am guessing the long one is a 36-39mm? But not sure about the two other regular looking ones?

Also I could do with knowing how to get the clear plastic lens off so I can access these bulbs to replace them??

Oh yeah here is a piccy of my new love interest.....my wife is already getting jealous!

I'm not sure about the size of the bulbs, Shaq is the man to ask about that! [:|]

But to get the plastic panel of it's easy. Simply place a flat bladed screwdriver in the centre at the front edge of the casing, push the blade in, angle the screwdriver up so that it pulls the front edge down, then simply pull the panel down (From the centre instead of the sides would be best advised), and gently aswell so as not to break it! I'm sure you've sorted this out by now but just in case you need a 42mm festoon bulb for the middle one and 2 x 501 bulbs for the outer two. The 501 bulbs (sometimes called W5W) are capless and can just be pulled out. Ultra LEDs stock loads of 501 bulbs. In mine I've got 501 LED bulbs with 4 x 5mm blue LEDs in.

I've got the W8 light now which consists of 4 x 501 bulbs so I no longer have the festoon bulb. I used to have a blue festoon bulb with mini LED's in it. You can have it for free if you want.

Use a knife edge or thin screw driver head to prise the plastic cover off, its just held in by tabs.

These are pretty simple really, I managed to do mine after giving up looking for blue rear reading light bulbs.

If you don't feel confident doing them yourself and you've got some spare cash pm Shaq, he'll make you a pair. Can't remeber how much he quoted me. I just decided to do my own in the end.

Yeah they'll fit mate. Any 501 bulbs will fit. You gonna put red ones in? You'll have to post a photo of what that looks like. Got blue ones in mine. I went for the 5mm LED though cos they're a bit brighter than the mini ones. These are what I have http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=719&osCsid=dfedb0bb132587d6180cc15709479d7d

Try these if you want red http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=44&products_id=664&osCsid=dfedb0bb132587d6180cc15709479d7d

Well I'll leave it up to you anyway.

Cheers mate.

I've gone for a red look inside the car, and a blue look outside. With my nicely titnted windows, the red glow of the W8 feels really "spy" ;)

Will post when done.

Cheers again

Glad to help,

What window tint do you have out of interest? Thinking of doin mine maybe before summer comes. I want to get the same all around though. Think someone told me 25% is the darkest you can go in the front. That about right?

Sound, I'll have a look. So you haven't had any problems from police then? I keep hearin stories about people bein fined and given points on the spot for excessive tint.

None whatsoever. I've been pulled twice (as I had a light out)
and they didn't bat an eyelid. 35% is not excessive anyhow.
The job is so good it looks OEM too ;)

I am 35% all over. Done by tinter.co.uk - Liam is a genious, best job I have seen and cheap as!
Ditto that ! Superb job and dead cheap. I had to drive 70 miles but he was still ?125 cheaper than the nearest place to me, bout 4 miles away. I paid ?120 for a 5 door golf.

Related note:

I had a crash the other day and the police attended. At one point he said "See you've had your tints done... Good lad for keeping them legal. Been nicely done too"

LOL

Even the boys in blue love tinter's work!
