Sat in traffice minding my own business and WHAM! 3 x Chavs in an Escort estate whacks us from behind. I jumped out to see the driver panic and drive off! I gave chase but Kim was pretty shaken up so another car, (Possibly involved - not quite sure what acctualy happened?) gave chase. I pulled over again... Luckily Kim managed to get the first part of the number plate. The police are following enquiries, they know who owns the car... Just hope he has insurance.

Mind you i have a bit of a stiff neck this morning?!?

That's bad mate.

Was driving round the Cheltenham inner ring road on Saturday and a woman in a yellow Mk4 TDI sat so close to my *** I couldn't see the bottom of her windscreen. 3 kids in the back too jumping around not wearing belts. Why do people do it ??!!

Nightmare Wez. Thats loads worse then mine. Hope you get it sorted OK. That said, the guy that ran into me was supposed to ring at ther weekend and let me know if a) he wants to give me ?400 or b) go through the insurance where he'll pay ?375 in excess and loose 2 years no claims. Its a no-brainer but he'll be getting an ear bashing tonight for not calling me and if he says he wants more time then i'll just go the insurance route.

I blame all of these rear ends on our good brakes. Others try and follow but soon find themselves out of their depth.

Read last week's autoexpress to see how many Police forces were totally

disinterested in chasing up uninsured drivers. It was about half of the forces

IIRC who basically didn't want to know.

That gives me so much belif in the police!

Yeah im so gutted... I spent all day Saturday tidying up the interior with a new Center console & hidding all the wires and PSU for the playstation. Had it all 100% too! And i had spent a good few hours cleaning it and then, Wham! They should find them and throw the book at them if they have any sense. Luckily we were both ok, but if we had been hurt and the guy fled well only one word for him... [removed by swearing filter] lol

In a Fail to stop bump, coppers need obv details of the offending vehicle, but always try and get a good look at the driver. Enough that if your shown a photo, or ID parade, you can pick him out. The problem is proving who the driver is... therefore allowing the police to prosecute for no insurance etc. Ace that you got a part reg.. coppers need at least 4 digits to make a positive id of the vehicle through PNC. I hate the irresponsible little a*rses that do stuff like this... [V]

sorry to see another one of us in the battles.

i got a call from the police last week about when i got rammed...

http://www.uk-mkivs.net/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=37312&SearchTerms=,jam

the copper that is/was dealing with the accident has got the details of the car from the dvla, made phone calls to the address given, been round to the address that was given and drawn a complete blank. he told me that the address is very well known to the police for some 'not very nice stuff' and that he could not persue the case any further.

so if i want the damage fixed i have to claim from my own insurance, how [email protected] is that!!!
