Hi Guys i recently won a bid on flea bay for these:

judging by the pictures they look great!, but when i got to the sellers place , i found out that the rear seats were SPORT LEATHERS , and the front passenger seat backrest was TWISTED, after seeing 3 sets of recaro,s i know what to look for, and could see that it was obviously bent!, any way the seller tried to tell me that the back seats were recaro ones, and that the front seat will be fine as its only twisted a little!, according to him a fat person must have put there weight on it when entering/exiting the car by holding the side of the seat as support ?????, i didnt have any of it , got a full refund from him, i asked him if the pics on ebay were of the seats, to which he said `No` !!!!, thats great isnt it?, anyway what feedback should i leave and what should i put?

That's a lot of money to be spending only to find out that it's been misadvertised, it's also a big waste of your time. Wait until he leaves feedback for you then slate him!!! []

There's no excuse for messers like that, i can't stand them! []

Hes given me positive feedback, but i feel really let down, as i had to travel for 2.5 hours from London to Norwich!, each way.[]

by not saying what condition that the actual leathers were in.

I'd also leave negative. Yes he has given you a refund but only due to the fact the seats were far from there description.

How about 'Warning!!! Item not as described'

Probably worth letting Ebay know the seller is selling items that are not what he says they are

Sitting on a milk crate!!!, no Ive still got the sport black leathers!, but obviously, well the vast majority of people would agree that Recaro,s are the King when it comes to seats!, so thats what i,m after, ive got two options, either get a set of oem black leather recaro,s or get a retrim done on some cloth recaro,s., a point to note is that the later recaro black leather seats , are made with a much higher quality leather than the early recaro leathers, ive seen two sets now and and see the difference in the leather easily, also the later leathers have the newer airbag connector fitted as well, so no cut and shut on the airbag connector.

"Rear seats were VW SPORT seats NOT recaro seats as in photos ,money refunded"

and heres the reply i got from the seller:

Dear hz2921,

"thanks for leaving me neutral feedback could of at least left positive like i left you."

what a joke, ??????????, should i reply that the goods wernt as described, and that to top it all of i had to do a 220 mile round trip to see them!.

Yes definitely!!

And say that you werent going to tell Ebay but after that unneccessary outburst you will!

I got a DVD once of ebay and it was a copy, which wasnt explained in the ad. Plus the quality was poor.

So got a refund and left negative feedback explaining, he then left me positive feedback! But then why shouldnt he?!!

I wouldn't bother taking it any further, you'll only wind yourself up more and not achieve anything. You've left your warning to others with the Neutral Feedback. Have you advised Ebay direct of your misgivings (ie false advertising)? Other than that all you'll do is get into a slanging match with the bloke in Norwich which won't solve anything. Your lucky you got your money back...plenty don't.

Hiya bud, are the pics there the ACTUAL seats you are selling? What happened to the original car they came from? was it a smashed car? If so are the subframes and front seatbacks still unbent and true?

Just out of interest,

how difficult is it to replace a twisted passenger seat subframe ? Is it an expensive dealer trip ?

BTW, I would of left negative too, ebay has too many idiots, thinking they can get away with murder, it makes life so much more tricky and often unpleasant[:S]
