So did anyone get a pile of dvd's for xmas? Any that were pukka or pants?

I got War of the Worlds, The Cat Returns (anime), Blade Trinity (the
weakest of the 3 but have to complete the set), Life in the Undergrowth
(Attenborough). I got Katie the Bridget Jones Diaries.

It was my birthday yesterday so I got the Jaws 30th anniversary edition, Sin City (R1 recut extended edition).

In the sales I've had loads - Scarface (sp. edition), Navy Seals, The
Fog (sp. edition), Schindlers List (sp. edition), Baseketball,
Anchorman, Billy Connolly (latest one), Godfather Trilogy (don't know
why I didn't already have this), Beverly Hills Cop trilogy, and a few
others but I can't remember what they are.

Cheers Rayban.

Mike - the War of the Worlds dvd is one of the best for testing your
home cinema. I cranked up the sound and it was incredible - it just
leaves you feeling exhausted!!

Will have to try that! Watched it on my Dads projector but at home I
have had the same seperates for 7 years, a 32inch CRT and a PS2 - no
dedicated DVD. Its served me well but I went into Richer Sounds for the
first time in years last week....and you know what that place does to
you. Now I have my own place, its 42" LCD and full home cinema time me
thinks....just need to start saving....

I shall be back for advice when the time comes!

Hey, mine too...

I didn't get very many dvds, and get the feeling they were probably on special offer too, lol

But they included the Labyrinth Collector's edition, so it's all good [:D]

Labyrinth, what a quality film, used to love watching that. David Bowie was excellent in that film.

Mike you know where we are when you need the info.

I got Madagasgar ( Ok..my son actually got it but hey ho.. )
I got that for my birthday ! love all those pixar type animations [Y]
I watched it for the 1st Time boxing day, I was PMSL, it was sooooo good.

I didnt get any DVDs, I got TonyHawk Underground for the PS2 though.

But I did give a few for christmas, both to Kate my other half, "Beetle Juice" & "An officer & a Gentleman", neither my cup'o T but each to their own .

I kinda stopped buying DVD's, I have so many (& videos) that I have almost run out of space to store them, so now I only buy it if I really like the film.
