Hi Matt

Is your car modified and is it on an annual or longlife service schedule?

Hi Matt

I would use a 5w-40 synthetic oil.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XFS, Fuchs Supersyn and Mobil Synt S are good, cheaper alternatives.

cheers tim never knew you could use 5-40 in a petrol... what will it be like? i will probably go for the mllers cfs that a good choice or would you say fuchs is better?

cheers matt
Hey Matt

Where abouts in kent are you? I know a vw specialist in tunbridge wells that does an oil change for a song and uses vw approved oil
up in medway got a vw garage just round the corner except as im a young lad they think i am a mug and give me pooo service... on another note even tho on the oil bit do you charge to plug people into your vagcom?
My vag com cable has gone so I'm saving up for a new one.
If it's just a simple code read and clear you're after I can do that for free, evenings and weekends if you travel to me

5w-40 is the most popular grade we sell for petrol engines. Many cars are recommended to use a 10w-40, 5w-40 just gives better cold start protection.

The Millers and Fuchs are as good as each other, there really is nothing in it.

You can get the oil changed by someone using a VW approved oil, but that oil won't be as good as the Fuchs or Millers.

Tim
no worries ill order some 5-40 millers when paid next week is there any other disocunt available other than the 10%

cheers
