Seen worse although that gap is very pronounced. I have J13LCK spaced as:

Old pic but the plate's the same.
A little fettling and you should be safe enough. My sister(copper) said it's the different fonts they don't like and as long as it can be read easily there's not much problem. Putting screw caps in the wrong places is a big no-no too.

sorry for the size of the pic and the quality, but Ive got this plate (well, its actually on the missus's fiesta now - Ive got my own plate back on mine).
Ive been pulled for this in Chesterfield, but Ive been followed by coppers in Sheffield several times and they didnt seem that bothered. I think it all depends on the copper, and the regional forces priorities. In Sheffield (South Yorkshire) they dont seem too bothered about minor things like this, but in Chesterfield (Derbyshire) they seem to be really picky about any motoring offence.
To be honest unles you change something else in that plate I wouldnt expect you would have too much bother.
The only real reason the feds are bothered about thses plates is that the specs cameras sometimes cant read them. But try getting a copper to admit that.

P.S - I also have C 3ALL (which is the plate now on the golf) and that is spaced to read C BALL (my name).
Ive been pulled for that too, but it was different font, so I changed for a legal font plate.
Too be honest I think the original C 3ALL plate I had was easier to read than the legal font - it was bigger and bolder, plus it had my name on so it wasnt as if I was trying to hide!

The copper that pulled me (after following me for 15 minutes through town) said he couldnt work out whether it was a 9 or a G what school did he go to? last time I saw a capital G it didnt look much like a 9. Nor did a number plate end with 4 letters... more training needed me thinks.[V]
Anyway, I was breaking the law, so I cant moan that much - I was in the wrong so thats that.

)]CHR1S went for over ?125,000 several years ago... Now I think that is just daft.
Mind you if had the money that some people in the world have then I would probably have bought it, I suppose you have to look at the costs of things relative to how much "disposable" income you have.. I paid ?250 for T19 ALL and the plate C3 ALL was ?250 too. Not a bad investment considering how much D3 ALL is going for.
Mother has B3 ALL and brother has S19 ALL.

quite often companies buy expensive plates (and other things) to avoid paying tax on excess profits at the end of a financial year, companies pay a tax on any profit so will quite often make capital investments so as not to lose 10% to gordon brown t

I wouldnt be at all surprised to find a copper doesnt snap this one up soon, think its worth it just to see if they dare pull you with it... They may think its a senior officer from somewhere..

jblack - I know what you mean. The reason the T plate was on the golf was because the missus's Mazda was on an S Plate.
When we inheritted the fiesta, luckily it was on a T, so the T went on that, and I got the C3 ALL plate off the mazda and onto mine where it belongs...
The mazda is now back on the S plate and going up for sale..
NOTE - Dont try swaping the number plates on three cars all at once, especially if you want to be able to transfer two of them at a later date - it confused the hell out of the local DVLA office assistant and took me a couple of letters to sort out afterward.
