Thanks, that's what I thought too but my mechanic said he didn't touch it... I'll try to have it lengthened (rotate towards the front of the car?) ASAP :)

Hello, I had the car fixed this weekend and the problem wasn't the actuator, it was a leak on the vaccum system, a small tube just outside the vacuum pump. Had it fixed and now the car runs great, up to 228km/h and no safe mode =)

Can anyone offer any advice to get to the vnt actuator/lever/turbo on an ARL PD 150? Want to make the rod length ever so slightly longer!

Is the TIP easy enough to remove? I have an EGR delete if this will help (have a feeling it will as more room at the back!)

after reading this again after doing some boost logs tonight (also popping off a boost hose) i now know that i have to get my duty cycle down from 94 to 80%

im estimating around 1.4 turns. to make the rod longer.

thanks again and also when i have adjusted the rod length will i have to adjust th stop screw?

many thanks for this

Hi Guys,

Great thread, got an odd one here, my Golf TDI 115 has had an odd surging feeling on acceleration that I thought I might be imagining but did a few full load runs and got the plot below. Few things stand out, firstly that the boost is varying far more than it should and secondly that the duty cycle seems to be the opposite to the original post. Actual boost seems to follow duty cycle very well so I don't think it's sticky vanes. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Graham

Follow the instructions in the first post and post your results. Block 11 will do to start with.

Hello. Im also new here. I wounder if I get a MBC, do I have to connect it to the hose between the N75 valve and the actuator on the VNT turbo? Cant I just release it to atmosphere?
