Hi, I just got a new Vagcom and been scanning the families cars and on my sisters mk5 GT TSI 170 I get the following error:

1 Fault Found:
008801 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Mechanical Malfunction
P2261 - 000 - -
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 01110000
Fault Priority: 0
Fault Frequency: 36
Mileage: 34791 km
Time Indication: 0
Date: 2000.00.00
Time: 16:21:44

Freeze Frame:
RPM: 2559 /min
Load: 15.3 %
Speed: 79.0 km/h
Temperature: 86.0°C
Temperature: 11.0°C
Absolute Pres.: 990.0 mbar
Voltage: 13.970 V

Readiness: 0000 0001

Question is where is the boost pressure control valve? and what is it? this is so I can check the wiring is connected properly, I have been reading somewhere that this is the dump valve? is that true?

Any help appreciated Thanks.

That doesnt really help as its not pictures of a mk5, did some logging and runs with the vagcom and its torque + bhp seems to be ok. It does come on pretty much straight away once the car has been driven after resetting the fault code. There are misfires logged when taking foot off too. Dont know if thats a problem or not.
