Trying to talk to the Central Convenience Module in my Polo 1.4 Year 2000, but Vag-Com keeps giving the module does not respond error :(

I've tried removing the battery to 'reboot' it, but it has not done the trick - just meant i have to put the radio code and clock back in

also saw removing fuses may do the trick - which ones? #s?

please help! i need access to it to setup anti hijack at least :(

can talk to other modules (well Instruments) so cable and connection is fine

:?: :?

Ahh crap, you may be correct [:(]

Mine is a 1.4 SE model, has central locking (not remote, but have DIY upgraded it to remote)

Can anyone confirm

Guess this means no anti-hijack can be activated?

Anyone with the same/similar model can advise which modules i have/can play with

thanks for the help and time

"A Serial Cable" is not a type of interface.

I'm guessing what your response really means is that you bought some third party interface, perhaps off eBay? If so, have you considered asking the vendor or manufacturer of this interface for assistance?

Hi Uwe, thanks for the reply. I am not looking for cable assitance, I am looking for info about this error code Vag-Com has found for me:

1 Fault Found:

01314 - Engine Control Module

49-10 - No Communications - Intermittent

I am also looking for a firm answer on if I should be able to access the Central Convenience Module or if my Year 2000 1.4 SE Polo even has it or not.

Thanks for the reply Uwe. I have never touched the ECU myself, so your suggestion of poor connections could be something for me to look at, I will see if any connectors are loose etc.. I have not scanned since, so it the error may have gone, might clear it, drive around and check again

Yes, my polo has electric power windows and sunroof with total closure

Once again, thanks for the advice and suggestions[^]
