LOL - touche... been there done that, had cylinders 1 and 2 replace on mine!! Did you know VW have now replaced the part, and reduced them to just over ?20 a piece now? worth knowing if they fail again!! []

Deeply sad I know but sometime I drive with the window down just to hear the purr of the quiet v6 rise to that lovely howl when you boot it []

We ALL do that mate []. Have you noticed in multi storey car parks people turn to look at what could possibly be making such a great noise...

i even roll the window down in my 1.8T......to hear the whistle and dump

I've owned a Calibra Turbo in the past and got a Forge dump valve fitted (out of necessity) and got to admit the turbo whistle with the (more subtle) dump was always fun.. my wife hated it but what the hey. It was fun!
If you wanted a really big noise out of the engine have an air hose let go on full boost! (21psi) you think the damn' car's blown up!!!
So just what DOES the milltek sound like? I like the sound of the standard exhaust - how much louder the Milltek on a V6 4Mo?

the extra MPG comes from not booting it to hear the DV dump.......
