Thought it was about time I posted up some of my latest photographs of my car. Gave the car a wash yeterday evening. Full spec listed below as well. As always, all feedback is much appreciated whether positive or negative.

smithjoe, sonny, danny, and chaddy - thanks for all of your feedback so far.

Chaddy, you've got me thinking now! Aero wipers just went on last week from Shaqs GB, i must admit that without the wiper does look good!

chaddy, i might give it a go for the summer, i agree it could look much better with cleaner lines, and as u say it can always go back on in winter.

mokeylock, iv never really been too bothered about under the bonnet, prefer to keep it closed tbh to keep people guessing whats underneath[;)] Now that you mention it, it could definitely do with a nice battery cover to tidy up the appearence.

Thanks for all comments so far!

This may sound like a daft question, but how much work is involved in smoothing the bumpers, what do you do?Did you have to take the bump strips out and get them fillered in that way? Also, how much does it cost to get them done? [:$][:S]

Other than that, it looks fantastic, and as we all know white cars are a bugger to keep clean! [:O]

Sonny, most people who ask about the car are generally shocked when I say its just a 1.4. The only bonus for me is that it keeps my insurance premium reasonably low while I hopefully try to build up some no claims discount.

RJH, I have a friend whos worked in a car bodyshop for some years, he did all the bumper work for me in his spare time. If I can remember correctly I paid him ?150 for the back bumper and ?200 for the front. Not sure if thats exactly what he charged as I got him to do some other bits and bobs at the same time. I had quotes from some garages looking for up to ?300 per bumper! He basically had to remove the bumper strips, and the recess was plastic welded/ filled until smooth. There was quite a lot of work involved, but well worth it in the end!

Phil, im really pleased with the lights, I did like the R/C/C/R's, one of the best lights for the Mk4, but I feel the white indicator strip on the Euro spec lights matchs up well against the colour of car.

Again, thanks for everyones feedback so far![:D]

turbodan, what do you mean exactly by 'de-debadging' the tailgate? Do you feel the VW badge should be put back on? Or do you mean that the lock in the tailgate should be removed, so it would be completely flush?

the car looks great overall and i especially like the rear and those light clusters [Y].

However, (an no offence is intended) I personally don't think the wheels do anything positive for the look of the car. I think with a set that suits the MKIV, it would really bring out all the other great features you've added.

O2 Bora, no offence taken at all; I understand exactly where you are coming from. I really do like the design of the Kahn wheel, while I appreciate its not necessarily the best wheel for the mkIV. If only I could afford it I would love a set of BBS LM's! [:D] However, I couldnt justify paying that much for a set of wheels to go on a 1.4 Golf! The Kahns are expensive enough as it is! Hopefully if I upgrade to something quicker in the next few years, the LM's may be an option. I have often considered a change. I did advertise my wheels for sale a while back with the intention of changing to either a set of R32 wheels, or BBS RC's. Not to sure how they would look on the car? The Kahn's look really good in motion, and I feel the finish of the wheel complements the car being white. I do appreciate your feedback, but for the time being I have decided against change.
