Here's a head scratcher for you... I have searched high and low all over the internet and have come across plenty of noises but not the ones I have on my 06 2.0 GT TDI 140. Both noises are when the car is cold for the first 5 mins or so of driving, The first noise is there while your letting the clutch out to pull away and the best way to describe it is like a hooting/screacing noise. This is quite loud and audible in and out of the car. There is no clutch judder or slippage although the car has done 73k. The second noise (also mostly when cold) is a clunking noise from the front end when the car is on a hard lock. It clunks once almost like a driveshaft problem or something. I work in the motor trae so have checked it out in the workshop and can't find any play or issues. I'm not sure if these noises are related or not but they did start at the same time. Any ideas???

Thanks in advance,

Ben
