We have just become importers for the Uber Power range of performance spark plugs. These Twin Iridium plugs seem to give a big increase in power, about 15bhp on a 160bhp Volvo lump, and 10% increase in fuel economy.

We are looking for VW/Audi/SEAT/Skoda owners who want to try these plugs out at a special price of ?9.95 per plug. As well as this if the customers provides rolling road graphs as a "before and after" we will refund 50% of the purchase price. Anyone interested?www.bigboystoys-uk.com/news

Some more info:

OWS Uber Power Double Iridium is designed to operate under the most severe environment and it offers superior performance which is approved by car manufacturer.

We offer the most professional precious IRIDIUM Alloy spark plugs in the specific heat range. Our Spark plugs have been tested in Germany for 400,000 km without any replacement. This is especially outstanding when compared to normal or even normal single iridium spark plugs which normally need to be replaced before 50,000 km because of excessive electrode wear. The hardness of iridium metal is 6 times more than platinum. "DOUBLE TIP" technology has been adopted as standard application for high performance BMW, Mercedes Benz and Porsche engines as their OEM (Original Equipment for Manufacturing).

For these reasons, OWS sparks plugs was developed giving you the benefits of deep pulling power, instant start in all seasons, intense acceleration, high RPM stability, improved fuel economy and reduced gas emissions. Be sure to choose OWS when you next service your car and blast off into the future.

So its ?40 for the plugs and if you (at your own cost) get your car dynoed before and after fitting which will probably cost in excess of ?25 per run so a minimum of ?50 you will refund ?20??

I think I'll stick with my Denso Iridium IK22's [:)]

It was 12bhp on the volvo motor but a 1.8T will always benefit from better plugs compared to standard.

The rolling road tests are more for people who were already doing RR's and would end up getting them subsidised by ?20. 4 people so far have gone down this route because they had RR booked already.

I will keep you updated with power test info. I have my hat ready for eating, how about yours?[:D]

Prove to me that I can get an extra 10bhp from my chipped 1.8T (with no nasty side-effects) from a plug change alone and the money will be on the way.

If we are taliking like for like - thats a standard VW plug in good condition and an Uber plug in good condition then I can't see how a 12bhp increase can occur.

If the VW plugs have been in there for ages and are burnt to a crisp then its a different story.

That's exactly what I'm saying Gary and what's more I'm already using expensive platinum plugs as used in the TT. They set me back about 60 UKP (long story) but are supposed to last 40,000 miles (yeah right). It would be totally unfair to say that you get an extra 12 bhp from changing an old set of plugs to the Uber Power ones IMO. The only fair comparison is between new sets (standard and Uber Power).

However if I can see an extra 10bhp from changing my plugs (even the used ones I have now) and my engine isn't going to blow, I'll order a set immediately.
