The E05 should fit as Wilko ran one on his car before he went for the IHI upgrade. Should give better results than the K03 too.

Turbos'.....from largest bhp gain to smallest

1)Garrett gt28(350bhp)

2)IHI(300bhp)

3)e05(280bhp)

4)k04(260bhp)

5)k03s(240bhp)

6)k03 (210bhp)

is this correct?

any other turbo's you guys know of?

what is a t3 and t4 turbo, and who makes them?

cheers[:D]

Eo5 should be good for about 270bhp and 290-300ft/lbs - will bolt straight on but you will require a map for it. I know Revo developed one for Wilko so that might be available if you decide to go ahead.
so no new manifold, or a FMIC needed??

will the injectors need replacing too?

You could replace your injectors with TT225 items, don't think the standard ones would flow enough....[:S]

Right..... decided to go the easiest route possible, either a K03s or a k04.

Dont want the extra expense of changing downpipe, injectors etc

i know the k03s will be a straight swap....... but what about the k04.

which is the better turbo.

Ive read posts on other forums that the k03s is more reliable than the k04.

The KO3s is probably the cheaper option and the simplest but for BHP gains the K04 will give you more but more marginal than you have stated in your previous post.

If you want a straight bolt on then I would go for the E05 which will run with standard intercooler and allow you to fit bigger injectors at a later date.

If you want more in depth details give revo head office a bell as they have either put this together as a kit or are putting it together.

ahhhh.

I presumed that if i got the e05 i would have to go out and buy a new fmic, larger injectors, uprated fuel pump, new uprated pistons (to handle the xtra boost), new manifold. (I know i will have to get the car ecu remapped too.)

If all i needed to buy is the e05 turbo and new injectors i would be a happy man.

Wonder if you can run an e05 on standard vw software?

I want to fit the parts in stages........i cant afford a new turbo and a remap all in one go
,so ideally what i want to do is:

1)Upgrade brakes/suspension

2)Fit new turbo and injectors (Hopefully running on standard software)

3)turbo back exhaust

4) TIP/FMIC

5) Finally get my (ARZ) 1.8t a revo/jabba/custom code, remap

Mate, the E05 is a waste of time, is weak and not designed very well.
If you're looking for about 270bhp then I'd look at a hybrid K04 turbo
from either Star Performance (www.starperformance.co.uk) or
AM Motorsport (www.am-motorsport.co.uk), is a better
engineered option as it's based on the K04-022/023 from the 210/225
engines and is a direct bolt on.

just out of interest what bhp can a bog standard ko4 reliably run at??

i presume my guestimate of 260bhp is too high.

are there a few different versions of the k04 fitted to the likes of s3/tt/ cupra R.

as ive seen many of these cars running at 270bhp after a remap, but ive been told that the k04 is only marginally better than the k03s...... is it something to do with the engines in these cars??
