Hi,

Anyone on here had a Turbo failure as a result of cracked exhuast housing or worn blades? My car is going to a performance center tomorrow to test for any of the above symptoms.

Common... oh no! Hope it is not why my car is not producing enough boost. Car is Revo'd, but I do not get the desired figures. Will get it tested tomorrow. Blades: I heard that the blades (the actual compressor wheel) tends to wear a bit. I warm up the car in the morning and cool it down after every trip, car gets services regularly. What is the avarage lifetime of the bearings?

That's it. My Turbo is officially f3cked.[]With Wastegate closed off it only produces 0.7bar.

I've heard round about ?1400. Does anyone have a price of new K03 and K03 Sport Turbo's. I have a friend who is currently in the UK, maybe he can get one for cheaper than the stealers want here.

I have an AGU with K03. I have heard than the Sport will fit without any modifications. Is this correct?

Yup you are correct, it is just a straight bolt on.

Anyone know if the K04-01 will work as described? I only know of the K03 and K03s that is a bolt-on solution. Anybody heard of this K04-01 bolt-on? They reckon it is good for 225+ hp... the same as the TT.

Is there any difference between this K04-01 and the K04 on the S3/TT?

You'd need a map to match the k04, you should get away with a k03sport with the Revo AGU map, that is the combination that I am running without any issues.

According to my boost gauge it is producing a peak boot of up to 22PSI.

My ultimate decision would be for the K03s with my code. Would like to try for the 4Bar code (if you get it for the AGU - CG ECU) later.

There isn't a 4 bar FPR map, although when I discussed this a while back with one of the guys at Revo he did say that the ECU should be able to adapt to a 4 bar FPR. I haven't tried it yet though.

Thanx for the replies/advice guys. I have found a used/low milage K03 for about ?290. It is from one of the Revo dealers here in SA. He was so kind as to help me get a turbo, so I can get my Revo code to function as it should, I have had it for a year with very limited power increase.

Hopefully by Wednesday next week I should look like this... [][][]
