Sorry as usual, search function still does not work.

Anyway I just bought a set of 17" six spoke TT alloys, but they come without centre caps.

Do you know where I can find centre caps with the VW logo, or if I can buy TT ones and swap the logo for a VW one? Any help would be very much appreciated!

Cheers

Guido

PS: Do you reckon these would fit? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9889&item=4548829237&rd=1

From what I remember, going down the OEM route of replacement center caps, it can be costly.

I went down the cheap option and got some replica stickers made, then sticking them over the top of the orginal TT caps.

If these are the original 17" Ronal wheels and centre caps, try VW Speed. I got some VW centre caps from them a few weeks ago that replace the Audi centre caps - they were an exact fit. If you peel back the pins on the back of the Audi badge, they will come off the centres and I used sealant to fix the VW ones. I have lost my PM's I sent to them but i think the guy I spoke with was Mike. Just make sure you tell him the right diamater for the cap as I believe they do several different sizes.

Yes they are original TT alloys. Unfortunately they came without centre caps, so I need to find the whole thing!

I bought those on the link above, the dimensions seem correct, but I do not know if they will be deep enough to actually fit on the wheels.

So as far as you guys know there are no actual VW centre caps that will fit straight onto TT wheels?

I don't know of any VW centre caps that fit straight on - and I had a long search and got my dealer to go through most of the current range of VW centre caps. Probably the only option is to find TT centre caps and then change the badges. If you go down this route, the badges cost me ?20 from VW speed.

Push the audi rings out of the centre cap from behind with a pin, then splat a load of silicone on the back of the badge, and launch it onto the centre cap.

Line them all up the same, then when the silicone's cured, just rub off the overspill from around the edges of the badge.

If your vw badges are the metal type,be careful they dont get dented when you bang the centre caps back on the wheel.(Like i did)!

Followed owlzen's advice in the end, went for the original audi caps, removed the audi rings and sticked the VW badges from VW speed on. Looks superb, the badges are a perfect fit![Y]

Will post some piccies of my car when I get it lowered and spaced out, am too embarassed to post pics of it in 4x4 state [8-|]
