As some of you know, I sold my Golf a few weeks back and today was the day I dropped her off to the new owner [] Was such a strange feeling, handing over the keys and to be honest I did feel a bit upset, BUT......

I have just returned from a 400 mile round trip to pick up my NEW motor and I have a massive grin on my face, the journey back home was very entertaining []

My new avatar may give you an idea of what i've bought...and no, its not another Golf or VW for that matter [][]

Just trying to get used to the difference in fuel consumption lol [:I]

Anyway, here are a few pics I took yesterday after cleaning my MKIV, I know the new owner will take good care of her and he knows about this forum so should be joining us shortly!

I'll still be sticking around here btw []

And I will reveal....the new motor is a 2001 (facelift) Audi S3 in Silver []

I've only had a it a few hours lol, maybe a remap in a few months and it already has some tasty OEM 18's fitted []

Don't really want to touch the suspension or exhaust though - well not yet anyway, my wallet needs to recover!

Can't believe you've sold it. That was one of my favorite mk4's on the forum! However, my mate's just bought an S3 and they're lovely. Hope you enjoy her as much as i'm sure you enjoyed the mk4.

Nice, I been reading up on what brake combo guys have used on for their S3 on tyresmoke.com. Porsche 993 setup are the ones, but you have to have phat pockets or a nice bank manager.
