Well after 4-5weeks after the crash the car has been in and out of the
body shop 3 times so far the 1st time was due to poor workmanship
actually all three times have been for poor workmanship and quality of
the work and spraying, anyways heres a few pics of the car in its
current state before it goes off to another bodyshop this week to
undergo its spraying and bumper work (as the first bodyshop used
non-genuine bumpers wtf) as i was sayin heres some pics lol....

I'll give it that its a clean car but up close and lookin at it in
detail, the body shop have messed up the paint work good and propper,
needs to be sanded down and re-sprayed as the whole colour is off on
the drivers side and because they've sprayed it 2-3 times now they've
built up an edge in places where they've masked off, so not happy chaps
here lol, but hopefully when it goes to our friends bodyshop he'll be
doing the whole works on the car and making it mint as possible and
changing the bumpers for genuine ones. sat

Will the repairs still be done through the insurance mate if it goes to a friends bodyshop to get sorted properly?

Well a friend of ours has another friend who's dad's stripping a US
spec R32 so were either thinking of getting them bumpers and side
skirts of him and go for a complete new look, or just go for a R32 kit
as sonny's friend has sourced him one for the full kit and its cheap as
an anni kit [] so were just waiting for him to get back to us and
once we've got the thumbs up, we'll pay him the money and give the
bumpers in at the same time to the new garage (our mate) and get him to
fit the kit and spray it and charge it to the insurance as this will
cover the cost for the new genuine bumpers which they were going to
supply us and also the spraying, as we've supplied new R32 bumpers
which are just in need of fitting and spraying.

heres a few more pics of the car

my mate refurbing my rims for me in his shop...

rims once they had been refurbed but not fitted to the car...

you cant see it clearly in the pic but when they sprayed my car i still had the black a pillers, they just masked around it and the amount of times the car has been resprayed it had built up a layer both on top and below, they fixed the top one but they didnt do the bottom and they also chipped the paint work and just sprayed over it...

Posted Image

the same with the door handle got runs on it and the paint was chipped there and just sprayed over it and you can see it through the paint...

Posted Image

here when they "tried" to mop the car they burnt the non-oem bumper paint...

Posted Image

when my car went back for the 3rd time last week the non-oem bumper was paint work wise mint other than paint peeling onthe pass side bump strip, when got the car back you could see scratch on the drivers side bump strip going on to the bumper and felt very rough not smooth like the rest of the bumper, my mate and another body work person advised me that somthing has defo hit it while it was gone back in for re-repairs...

Dont you just hate incompetant bodyshops![]
Damn right, thats the only reason why the next time it goes in to a
bodyshop its going to a friend of ours whos going to be sending the
bill direct to the insurance company. Our mate who does the spraying is
a real perfectionist as he will not let a car go until its 100%
satisfactory to his standards (which are f'in mint) lol.

sounds like you had some serious problems with the bodyshop! [:|]

name and shame them, if you can stop at least one person using them you will be doing someone a favour

wheels suit the car very well [:)]
