MY needle stays on 90 but sometimes drops then comes back randomely

There is a fault on vagcom but i forgot the code

IS that the sensor that needs replacing or thermostat or what?

sounds like your thermostat is constantly open, just a guess but I am sure someone will know bud.

Just checked and its the coolant temperature sensor. Ill buy one from vw only 20 odd quid

Any idea if its a DIY job, any guides?

could be the thermostat if its dropping.

coolant temp sensor is an easy job on a mk4, not sure about the mk5 but have a search for a guide will be one in existence.

They are somewhere between 25-30 from the dealers.

I have one for sale if your interested? I will need to check if the MK4 CTS is also used on the MK5...

I got one off vw.. Does anyone know a guide or anything to install for the mk5..

I heard its quite easy and dont wanna pay for installation if its easy lol
