My mate works for skoda and told me that the Skoda Fabia vRS can be chipped by someone they know from 130bhp to 180bhp. Now this is 50 bhp increase, being a similar car (not a vw tho [:D]) is this possible? as Ive never seen this on the forum or heard of such a chipping increase?

Upsolute can increase my 110bhp GT TDi to 143bhp, which is 33bhp increase? Anyone got any suggestions?

Many Thanks

Greg

Yeah yeah.

Dastek, who manufacture the most technologically advanced dyno, reckon a std 130pd puts out less than 130bhp. Don't forget that the figure quoted by VW is PS, which is less than BHP.

JBS, Jabba, AMD to mention a few are guilty of inflated power and torque figures. Just look at figures that have come from their equipment, versus more conservative ones from others.

I think that I can be a bit of an authority on this. I have a golf 3 door 130 pd. I have had it revo'd. I also had a rr done before and after the mod. As a standard, the car pushed 153BHP and 236lbs/ft torque. After the mod was carried out, it had 177.5BHP and 302Lbs/ft torque. Just for reference, this was carried out at stealth and the car shifts compared to before the mod was done.

So with regard to the topic, very near 180BHP is attainable, but the car will be pushing well past the quoted figure of 130BHP

Sorry DC but your wrong about JBS. They have a very accurate dyno which regularly shows cars to be almost spot on manufacturers claims. Dub master just cos you've had your car mapped and dyno'd doesn't make you an authority, loads of us have done that but it doesn't mean they dyno is correct. I do appreciate that the one at Stealth is supposed to be ok though.
