Glad to say I'm now the proud owner of a Golf IV and a friend of mine reccommended this site. Just thought I'd say hi. No doubt I'll be asking you all for help mopdifying my ride. Don't worry, I'm not goin to turn it into a chav mobile! Tasteful mods only!

Alright,

Wow, had a few replies to my first post and you guys all have GTI's and R32's! Mine's a lowly 1.6! I see yours has over twice the horse power that mine does, I just put 18's on it too so I've lost some torque, nevermind. Your car is nice though, fun to drive I bet! Here's mine so far.

Got the new Audi A8 style rims. I think they look mint and I've only seen them on the road once so far. Bit more tasteful than the usual 'rude boy' stuff you see these days! Would have gone for 19's (I think they fit) but they were an extra ?300! Havin a laugh? De-badged it too as you can see. Looks much better, now the only give-away that its actually a 1.6 is the non-colour coded bumper trim/rub-strips. I'll get 'em sprayed eventually.

Cheers for the welcome anyway

Hey Mark,

Yeah this forum is useful! I had a reply to my dash lighting question within a couple of hours! I got sent a link showing you with photos how to install the bora style dash vents in the mk4 golf. Useful cos it shows you how to take the old ones out and attach power cos the bora ones have lights. Bit of a pain on the small attachment size though!

Hi Martin.

(I'm also new on here, just got my mk4....it's ace)

I'm on Wirral matey, in Neston. Where abouts are you?

I've found a great bodyshop if you need any kit spraying up etc..and some great mechanics who are spot on.

Cheers,

Dave.
