Last night i went out with a few mates in to cheltenham town centre at about 10ish. Things started to get real busy with all the chav wagons showing there faces when the gayest thing ever happened. Me a scooby turbo and a few others were going down a 1 way street when we all had to brake suddenly. Everybody managed to stop apart from 1 little plonka in a corsa who went straight up the ar*e of a saxo who then shunted another saxo funnely enough! (well i did say the chav wagons were out) Anyway after a sy of relief, all as we heard was a big screatch and a corsa nailing it of in a cloud of smoke(how ironic) anyway looked in the rear view mirror and saw a girl get out of the first saxo with the worst look on her face. The corsa then raced passed me nearly taking out the side of my car. So i gave chase for about half a mile up the road when he suddenly pulled over. I pulled up next to him and said "Whats going on?" He just said "i was going to turn round honest". I then told him there was no need to speed off and to follow me back to the scene. Next thing i new he was in reverse, again nearly hitting my car and speeding off. After pushing my luck twice i just let him go making sure we had saved his plate on 1 of our phones. We then went back to give his details to the ones who had been hit, and the girl was in a right state. I know you lot will say i shouldnt have chased but it made me feel so much better nowing the little rat wasnt going to get away with it. Just imagine if it was your car he had hit.

Well done. I think you did the right thing and acted correctly in not persuing him any further. Let's hope he does feel the need to sue you for interfering with his 'right' to act like a [email protected].

Well done Plod86, we need more people who will act on behalf of the less fortunate... in this case someone who was obviously suffering from shock and didn't think to get the No-plate of the ar*e who did the deed.
Good on ya mate!!

wel done - wish there were more ppl like you around - it's a shame that the chav-wagon drivers can't be decent enough to do the right thing.

Some people would say me and my mates drive chav -wagons (most of them do have corsa's unfortunately) but we would certainly stop if we hit someone and we dont drop litter when we loiter in car parks either (if i catch anyone droppin litter i go mad) but there are a fair few idiots about on the roads - there should be a chav test that if you get a pass you aren't allowed to drive. Like people who are jealous and key cars for a laugh - it just isn't funny. - Went a bit off subject there - lol thats coz im female!

anyway [*][:)][*] thats ur medal for doing that!

Hmmm, although I applaud you for doing what you didm I would never reccomend it.

A mate of mine used to be a fireman and drove the trucks and had special links with the police. One night he saw someone beat someone up real badly then speed off. He rang the police on his mobile while chasing them down the M6 (new years eve 2002 if I remember correctly).

Anyway, he kept following doing about 120mph with the operator asking only to follow him if safe to do so.

Another copper came along and instead of going after the person that beat someone up, they pulled him and took his licence off him for 3 years for dangerous driving and putting others in danger. Even though the recorded call to the operator was played at court and he had passed all his advanced driver training etc for the fire department, he still lost his licence and got fined ?800.

Makes you think twice about helping others out and trying to do the right thing.

Well done mate. Like someone else said here, this country is a joke and if relying on the proper channels nothing would ever be achieved. I teach youngsters and although there are still a lot of good ones out there, really worry about the way things are going in general...

Good on you mate! The way some of those idiots drive round here I'm not surprised that doesn't happen every night. If you ever see a Golf on the inner ring in both lanes doing 20mph just to get on their nerves, it'll be me (I don't do it all that often because it's stupid of me, but I go off on one sometimes).

What road did it happen on out of interest?

It happened at the end of the straght going past wetherspoons. Where you can follow on round to the right for another lap or you can go straight on for stroud. Dont realy see many other golf out in cheltenham on a sunday post a picture of a car so i can look out for you next time. Oh and i would have loved to have dragged him out the car but thats just asking for trouble. That would have ment every time i would have gone to chelt in the future i would have been getting shit if burberry cap wearing chavs. Yeah i cant understand what is going on in this country sometimes. I mean the general public put them selves at risk to do what best for the community and they get fround up on as if they had commited the crime. Did anybody hear of the guy who broke in to a house, fell and cut his arm, and then had the cheek to claim compensation. nuf said!

Well done mate. I think the police will applaud you for what you did by not persuing him the second time and getting his plate. In an ideal world though you should have dragged him out and given him a good bitch slapping!

I usually drive round that way as well!! its lik the "CHAV F1 track!!!" Ahh the CHeltenham AVerages!!! I can tell you some stories of runnings I've had lol:

2 weeks into my new term at University of Gloucestershire ( it was call the college of HE at in 1999) I was driving round the Cheltburg-ring, when a Chav overtook me a stupid speeds and stopped suddenly at a red light, I nearly went in the back of his montego "super sport, I can beat anycar machine!" I got out my car and had some "choice words" with him and his "crew" and got back in my car, he then tried to taunt me - speeding up slowing down cutting me up, THEN went round the corner passed Po Na Na's (now club13) and smack! right into an Audi! The Audi didn't look too bad, but the chav mobile folded.

Now I konw its not funny but I was really tring hard not to laugh, when they were standing round the car with smoke and fluids gushing out every where....

PS: Don't laugh it's not funny (lol[:D][:p])

plod86 I'm usually down in London for the weekends or Birmingham, hence why i'm not around Chelt town. But if you need any help or servicing/parts etc.. give me a shout, I'll introduce you to my Mechanic, Bedford Street Motors in Gloucester opposite the train station ( well kind off opposit ish!) http://www.uk-mkivs.net/forums/533225/ShowPost.aspx he has looked after my 3 VW's and his prices are [Y] ie: s3 lower strut brace + fitting = ?18! (?25 just for the part from vw!)

I live overlooking the traffic lights that are just before the town hall, and some of the goings on are hilarious - I always enjoy watching the cars with green and blue lights at the bottom illuminating the road, they're class with a capital K!

I like sitting in the strand too jrsp, or restoration. It's great. Have you seen the chav'd up diesel ford escort vans that cruise past - pure class!!

Next time you see a fat man laughing at the cars, it's probably me!
