Hi,

I am trying to fit a pioneer stereo on a Golf 2003, with limited time. can anyone tell me what these two wires are for? They are orange/green and orange/brown. I already removed them from the quadlock connector without taking pictures, so i don't know their positions in the connector...:( I'm now in the process of reinserting them into the black connector in the picture to make them fit the pioneer harness.

From what I can find these smaller gauge wires are supposed to be blue/gray or blue/white, there is no mention of the above wire colors in any forums. I'm stuck on an island and have to get the interior back and get out of here by tonight, any help would be a life saver!!

Thanks, that makes sense now. I also found that 2003 + cars have a CAN controlled radio, at least this car, hence the lack of switched live (the two red/whites are permanent live, for reference). Had to run a new switched live from the fusebox to make the pioneer work.
