150PD, not off the mark, but once its going & if he used the gears & torque correctly he'd have the edge, not a big edge though.

I had a Pug 306 S16 155bhp std with a Scorpion Exhaust & K&N Induction Kit on. I came up behind a Bora @ 80mph, not sure if it was 130 or 150 but by the time we hit 120mph + there was quite a distance between us.

So poss the 150pd would have it.

Once moving the PD's quicker until higher revs where the petrol will be quicker...

Drive the PD like a petrol car and the 1.8T will win every time.

You need to know how to drive an oil-burner to get the best out of it!

Basically the performance is very similar from both of them...

Remapped is a different matter however...

1.8T easy...

I would not say that a remapped 1.8T would outrun a remapped 150PD easily!!

It will be quicker but not by a great margin.

With the 150PD you can also go for the special red "Massey Ferguson" edition or green and yellow "John Deere" version.

Can't get a 1.8T with that can you?

No, the 1.8T comes in special "Babyliss Super Dryer" edition, or the "GHD Multispeed Dryer" edition [:D]

Later remapped 150's can get to around 220-230 bhp I doubt if there would be much in it between them. As you say guy's depends on the drivers really. [;)]

Tom - Not forgetting the 1.8T "Dyson" special of course.

Indeed - The Dyson 1.8T, that was the one limited to about 14 million worldwide wasnt it? [:D]

A remapped 150 AUM will give the same output as a remapped 180 AUQ.

On who's Rolling Road?

NikB's Revo'ed 150 is only getting that with NOS and thats been run on a reliable and accurate Rolling Road.

I think figures of over 200bhp and 300lb/ft from a remapped 150PD are just pie in the sky.
