Looking to drop the car on a super tight budget.

So my options seem to be limited to springs only.. I had a set of Ebaichs on a 2.0 Astra SRI and was pleased with them.

just after the look really as 95% of my driving is motorway.

would be interested to hear peoples experiance / opinion on this

99 1.8T. -52k- BTW

Can't go far wrong with Eibachs, but a '99 model with that mileage, the original dampers will be some way past their best, and if you only do springs now then you'd have to pay again if you want to change dampers... but if you do it all at once now you'd be glad you did. Now just to find the extra kebab vouchers? [:D][Y]

I guess it all depends on how long you plan to keep the car.

I'm have just ordered a turbo back miltek, so the funds are low at the mo.

everything you say makes perfect sense. I guess thats what the credit cards for.

Hi Mate

I know what your saying about funds , but shiuming is right :(

Sorry about that.

But we do have a great price for the Koni kits at the moment.

These are the full kits with springs , shockers and bump stops.

We have been selling the kits instead of just shockers as it only differs for about a tenner and you get the springs and bump stops too.

I know it does seem to be a tempter for you and I am sorry , but it will save you money in the long run.

Yep! your all talking sense. the good thing about this forum

is that the advice on offer stops you making mistakes that

will cost you later....

I think saving for a set of highsports is prop my best option..

(just need to wait for an awesome-gti discount bargin[:p])

PMSL cookiemonster.

Jac's lastest line is " if you have ?400 to spend on the car you can spend it on the wedding".

I hope the "I only fitted a crome tail pipe trim " lie holds out, If she knows I spent ?600 on a full turbo back miltek then the wedding will be off anyway.

My logic = Tell her the tailpipes (IF jac notice's) cost ?50 then give her ?50 to put in the fund. Smiles all round, and you'll only be ?50 out of pocket. [:)]

and im now considering a set of highsports, as a contact can supply them at a very good price.

Are you intrested in a joint buy and fitting session. [:)]. ( you know the answer dont fight the urge )

I'm not joking, Carol want's ?100.[:p]

I really can't afford anything else this month, maybe in late June though. If you get yours before I'll help you fit them.

The front drivers side shock has just given up and doesnt want to play anymore. So it looks like its full shocks or coilovers. no choice... must be fate
