Just a quick question on the sport cats listed on your site.. there is
one in the section for the TDI engine but given the significant price
drop over the sports cats for the other models, something is telling me
that its just a downpipe and straight through (with no cat) - is that
correct?

If this is the case, do Milltek DO a similar sport cat / downpipe setup for the TDI (115PD) or not?

Cheers! :)

Hi

The TDI cars don't have a cat as such - more like a "soot trap", and
its the actual honeycomb cat that costs so much in the petrol highflow
cats, hence the TDI downpipe is much cheaper :)

A few other questions seeing as you're answering Ade :) What sort of
labour time typically to fit one of these? Sadly i'm too far away and
will probably get the work done with someone like Stealth Racing if /
when I order one.

And I take it this will work fine with my 115PD GT TDI?

And what sort of price would it be posted to the West Midlands. Cheers mate.

So many questions I know.. sorry!! :)

Hi

It should cost about 1 hrs labour to fit these and yes these are made just for the PD's so not a problem on yours...

They are ?125+vat +?9+vat P&P

Can I just confirm - will my car actually pass the MOT sporting one of these?

I've just had one fitted and aside from fitment issues connecting it up to the OE VW exhaust system (which now need correcting as the resonation from it is making my head hurt), my trusted garage expressed serious doubts that this is MOT safe. I bought this part (admittedly not from Awesome so not having a moan at you guys or anything) on the understanding that it was MOT safe and now i'm bricking it a bit...

Cheers.

Hi Mate

With the diesels you will find that they dont have an emmision test , but a smoke test.

Yes your car should go through the mot with one of these on.

I have known a few go through with them.

It can get a bit of a grey area though as MOT testers can get funny if they are having a bad day.

But you should be ok

No problem mate

Can`t believe you didnt get it from us :(

But hey they do seem to make a difference.

What do you think to it?

I know that they are rather cheaper than the cats , so what do you think?

Now its my turn to make you work ;)

Hiya..

Well I had placed the order with you but had to cancel it as i'd missed the weeks exhaust shipment and it would have been tail end of the following week before I could get it. As the part was NEEDED cause my other downpipe had rusted apart I had no choice but buy it from someone who could get it to me next day for the same price.. but I will use Awesome again in the future as customer service has been superb both on here and on the phones.

I can't really tell yet as its been on my car a day and is resonating so badly I can't bear to be in it for too long.. but once its all sorted out i'm sure i'll like it. The car does honestly feel punchier by miles - I think having just had the major 120k service done has helped.. but it flies round the revs now and feels much more eager! And before it started to resonate like hell, I couldn't notice any real increase in noise / drone, etc.. so very pleased in that respect!

If it gets through the MOT and if the resonating gets sorted it'd be hard not to reccomend the product!
