5k worth of car is too much on TPFT insurance policy IMO. what if u have accident remember is does not necessirly need to be your thought for you too loose out 5k. 2100 is uneconomical to insure almost any car let alone something worth 1.5k. this is madness i say get the bus.

And that was Fully Comp. I got a quote on a 1.8T Golf, 150PD and a 2004 2.0TDI A3 and they were all about the same. With regards to post code, I really doesnt get any worse than SE18!!

Yopu think that's wierd . .

I'm 30, live in London (HA3 postcode) with 25 yr old wife.

One total loss claim, not my fault but other driver not found.

We need a 2nd car for wifey, whol will not be fobbed off with a Mini.

I pay ?1,000 on the 4 motion with full NCB.

Quotes on the 2nd car, a 2002 330ci sport are . .

Direct Line (current insurer) - ?2,283 less 35% introductory discount

Elephant - ?1,053, 12 month policy, NO ncb, no introductory discount

How can a 330ci sport cost less to insure than a 4 motion ?

Must be getting old (29):

VW Polo 1.4 CL (ok so its only worth 3k) = 185.50 squid fully comp (with 3 years NCB) Yippee!!

(I have got a 9 year NCB aswell, but I'm saving that for a "special" car)
