Was fed up at work this afternoon so decided to see what smoothed bumpers would look like on my Bora courtesy of Photoshop.

Have seen a couple of Golfs (Gavs & Graemes) with the smoothed bumpers and they look the dogs dnaglies[8D] but never seen a Bora with smoothed bumpers, so I might consider getting this as a future mod.

I personnally quite like them, although seeing them for real could maybe change my view, but your opinions would be most welcome.

The car I used isn't mine as I don't have any decent pics of it yet, this gorgeous one belongs to CraigV off the forum, so if you spot this topic Craig I'd love to hear what you think buddy.

I was up for doing it myself, even went as far as getting prices etc. I really liked it on this....

....but went off the idea when I saw this (ignore the paint scheme) and look at the finish - seems a bit wrong to me, doesn't work the way it does on the Golf. Can't put my finger on it but even ignoring the vinyl etc, it just doesn't sit right for me. Now I am just not sure.

doesn't look as bad as i thought but am going down the 337 jetta look just managed to get a guy in the US willing to straight swap his chrome gli mouldings for mine

Quite fancy the smoothed Bora, repeat BORA [8D] look with some OEM xenons and V6 valance, although seeing Mikes pics I'm not so sure.

I see what you mean about the one with the dodgy paint job Mike, although the black one looks ok even though its not painted.

Still undecided, wouldn't want to spend money and get it done for it to look pants[V], although think my version of Craigs looks cool[8D], or is that just my graphics skills[]

Plenty of people in the US have done it at home. However its time consuming and you have to be careful to get it right; any gaps and the air will expand / crack the blending come winter time. 'GTI Matador' comes to mind on VW Vortex, he did this himself:
